  1. I have fibromyalgia and my doctor suggested Lyrica to me today. She also said it may cause weight gain. Oh, HELL NO! I'll try it, but the minute my weight loss slows, I'm off it. Has anyone here had any experience with Lyrica?
  2. You guys are doing great! WOOHOO us! Lashonda, I too want to get to 195 or so...sometimes it seems like it's so far away. My goal is no more double chin by my birthday, April 7. I don't know if I can do it!
  3. Just walk every day. Anything is better than nothing. You can get fit by walking and it only costs the price of a pair of decent sneakers. Don't let worrying about a gym membership distract you from your goals.
  4. Wow, I was banded the same day and I've only lost 40 pounds since then. Way to go!
  5. I definitely have. My weight loss has been stalled for more than a week. It's frustrating but I'm determined to power through it. (Also my exercising has been off because of the holidays and I've had a lingering cold.)
  6. I run three times a week. OK, it's jogging. OK, it's walking alternating with jogging.
  7. I'm struggling. The stress of trying to diet without any restriction (first fill next week) and the holidays is really kicking my butt. I'm just so strung out. and HUNGRY.
  8. My husband isn't like that, but my mom is, always has been. I tell her what my dad tells her: "Mind your own plate."
  9. I haven't had a fill yet and I'm starving, depressed, and stressed out. I look at everyone's else's weightloss tickers and feel horrible because I'm not losing and I feel like a big fat failure less than one month after being banded.
  10. You might also be having panic attacks. It took me at least six months to be able to sleep the whole night through with my CPAP (and my pressure is 18, sigh). I don't think my apnea has anything much to do with my weight, since my doc says my nasal passages are abnormally narrow and everyone in my family has it regardless of weight, but I'm hopeful that weight loss will lessen it some. You just have to keep on using the CPAP to get used to it.
  11. From what I can tell, a two week postop appt is pretty standard, so I don't think they're slacking there.
  12. I looked around and found a snorkel for lap swimming and training. It's called the Swimmer's Snorkel by Finis and it seems to run about $35. I think I'll give it a go soon! Thanks for the idea.
  13. I would like to swim with a snorkel but I would feel silly at the Bally's fitness. God knows I already feel silly there as it is--being fat and out of shape and having chronic fatigue syndrome. I need to just butch it up.
  14. Ugh, I am in the throes of it. First fill Dec 16, but I'm starving now! And I feel guilty and angry when I eat when I'm not supposed to. I was doing well up till a few days ago and then the hunger between meals started. Siiiigh.
