I was banded on 8/16. Still not hungry. Feeling pretty good though. Im waiting for the hunger to kick in.

I'm 1 week post op and have 1 more week of full liquids and I am HUNGRY today. Yesterday too. Up until these past 2 days I wasn't hungry at all, having a hard time eating half a pudding cup. But today I am starving!!!! Hope the doc lets me try some mushies a few days early- I see him on Tuesday.

OH TO CHEW SOMETHING WOULD BE MARVELOUS!!!!

Hahaha even though I'm still not hungry, on the first week post op of liquids I wanted to rebel against sweet stuff!! Head hunger came up and demanded savoury food!!!

Hope you can progress to mushies soon!

Rach.

I am 8 days out and not hungry, just want to eat. Even things I usually don't like sound good.

Well I have been banded for 17 days, and I've just decided to buckle down and diet! I get a fill in 20 days, so that would be my first goal. I log every morsel that goes into my mouth, helps to pass the time, and become calorie conscious at the same time. Been walking every day for 20 minutes too. I do however tend to find myself watching the travel channel, so I can see all the food they get to eat! "Dream on big moma!" Well all for now!

Peace out

Kelly:rolleyes:

Seriously Honestly it was the day OF surgery that I was hungry! I was shocked and a little mad lol. Bandster hell started for me probably about 5 hours after surgery.

OMG, me too!!! Actually by the time they got me to my room I was hungry. I was asking for 2 popsicles at a time. My surgery was on Aug 13th and I have been starving. I dont know how much longer I can stand this. I dont understand why some Dr's, like mine wait a month before the 1st fill and some Dr's do it sooner. I'm not so sure I can wait another 3 wks!!!

Nancy

So those who have gone before us...here's the question...did you cheat when you got hungry? What did you do to muddle through?

I am 10 days post op and I am cheating. It's the truth. The last couple days I went from full liquids to eating mushy things that I used to eat before but seriously I am sitting here eating chips and I KNOW that aint right.

I'm hungry. This is why I got the band. It's not working for me right now. I need a fill or whatever it is to bridge over.

What did you all do? Are there any tricks out there that I can implement to get me to that first fill?

OMg I have found myself watching Man vs. Food and wanna pig out!! isn't it funny how our heads play such games with us!!! time to turn off the tube!

I was banded on Aug 17th and right now I am starving. My stomach is rumbling. I don't know how I am going to survive two weeks on broth, milk, and water, but I guess I will have to fight my way through this. We have so many fresh tomatoes from our garden in the kitchen right now. Do you have any idea how much I want a BLT? I would settle for a jar of baby food at this point. But, like I said, I will get through this! I have to.

I just got my lap band 9/22/10. 3 days in and I'm not sure if I'm HUNGRY or have gas. I'm also having this issue where I feel like I want to burp but nothing happens. It feels uncomfortable and I can't stand when it happpen  will this feeling go away? If so I hope its soon

I am 6 days post op and have not really felt hungry yet.. I have been having trouble with low blood sugars, so I have had to take in something to bring it back up

maybe that's what i am feeling hungry. my stomach growls constantly and i thought it was gas. and i don't get to eat for another 3 weeks. ugghhh

Surgery 9-20 and yesterday was the first day I really felt hungry but full liquids and protein shakes are keeping it in check, but I too dream about food...everytime I open the fridge I would give anything for that baby dill pickle staring back at me. How sad is that?!? Just trying to keep myself busy which is also difficult since there are still a lot of physical limitations. Also dealing with the gas pains that sit in my chest, and by the of the day, I have the worst heartburn, which I NEVER had pre-op. Very frustrating.

I am 4 weeks out and luckily (also gratefully) not having any hunger. I am so happy not to go through "bandster hell" My first fill is 10/13 and I'm ready!

Hi. I was banded on 9-20-10. And today is the 1st day I feel hungry. I'm also very tired of protein shakes tastes, chicken broth and popsickes. Keep thinking about ham and spinach. Arrrr.... According to my doctor I still have 2 more weeks of liquid diet, not sure if I can do this. I'll call the dr.'s office on Monday for advice. Hang in there, we're in the same boat.
