  3. Nice to hear from you all. I am from Long Beach but now I am in Uniondale. Just like all4gizmo my doctor is also Dr. Geiss. I am also thinking about getting the Wii since I don't like to work out :smile2: I am trying to find things that I like to which will help me with my weight loss.
  4. Hello, I was wanted to know if there is any Long Island, NY banders out there. I had my band placed 9/22/10 doing good so far just having a hard time with the soft mushy foods. Also feel like I am not getting enough Protein :smile2:. I've also started bike riding which I must say hasn't been easy since I am so out of shape :frown: but I am pretty sure it will get better. When it starts to get too cold out I am going to start the gym. I look forward to hearing from any Long Islanders :crying: how are things going for you and if you have any suggestions to help me along would be greatly appreciated :tt2:

  9. Hey! So the numb feeling I had in my right leg went away I guess the extra walking around did the trick
  10. I am on soups which help but after that soup has passed on here come the growling sounds I am waiting to hear from nutritionist.
  11. Hi MellieW, Thanks I've emailed my nutritionist to ask her about this. I'm wasn't going to move on to the soft foods unless my nutritionist tells me. I don't want to mess this up.
  12. Hi, I wanted to know if anyone moved on to soft foods sooner then what their nutritionist stated. I have to be on full liquids for two weeks however I've that I'm getting hungry soon then before. I'm worried about this :-/
  13. Thanks! I will make sure that I call in the am tomorrow.
  14. I do a pinched nerve I walked around my house for a little and my leg felt better. Tomorrow I'm going to call my doctor.
  15. Thanks! :smile2: But I think you took that the wrong way I didn't mean for anyone on this website. I meant when I did a googel search the information that came up scared me even more. It's also good to talk to someone else that has or is going through the same situation you.
  16. I guess everyone is different I just want to get to the point where I feel good about myself. I do have my lazy moments but I am not going to let that stop me now. This time around it's all about ME!!! :smile2:
  17. Ok so I notice last night that my right leg was getting numb:scared2: I would move my leg around or get up and walk it would go away for a little but then it would come right back :smile2: So I thought by this morning it would go away but it hasn't. It goes and comes but I have to be on my feet I can't sit or lay down. Has this happened to anyone? Should I be this worried? I think I will give my doctor a call. I am just scared because I am forever watching those shows and reading information on the internet which doesn't make it any better.
  18. LOL!!! I just wanted to know because just like you I am also a mom with a full time job. Yes I know that I shouldn't use that as an excuse which I am not because this is what I wanted and now that I have it I've got to make it work for me. Since nothing else really helped me the lap-band was my last option beside getting my mouth wired shut lol
  19. Oh ok thanks
  20. Hi Debbie, Thank you! I am doing a lot better still having this burping issue  I just what I need to do is move around more but I found if I do to much I start to have lot of pain. I guess my body still need time to heal. Yes the nutritionist did give me a list of things I can buy. It's still drives me crazy having to look at the lables on food. Something I never use to do before. I'm still on full liquids I've got another 10 days to go then it's soft food. How long ago did you have your surgery? How did you with soft foods?
