For me it was 9 days exactly :cursing:

5 days where I just ate/drank what I had to... a couple of days feeling happy to have shakes and then hunger set in. But it has been manageable and I have stayed in control. My first fill is this week and I am happy about that. I liked the promise of not being hungry and I am ready to feel that!

I was hungry pretty quickly- I'd say about 4 or 5 days after surgery.

My stomach was growling a few days after surgery but I really started getting hungry about 9-10 days out...but I really only had about 4-5 days of fighting hunger than I could start mushies and that helps alot..not near as hungry now that I can eat some stuff...but now Im hungry all the time and feel like I can eat anything..and it sucks!

Im 11 days out and today hunger has really set in. I get to start soft foods tomorrow so hopefully that will help some.

Day 6 hunger and head hunger set in....Tired of the mushies! Day 8 (2day!)...i had real green beans! Never thought i'd be soo geeked off of real green beans! LOL!

I'm 14 days out, and I'm still not hungry.

Seriously Honestly it was the day OF surgery that I was hungry! I was shocked and a little mad lol. Bandster hell started for me probably about 5 hours after surgery.

4 weeks and counting for me... no hunger & fairly tight restriction

About 5 days, which makes it a long time until you can get a fill. However, have been through this before (my band slipped and I had to have it reset), and look on the bright side. Once you can start getting fills, you will never be starving again. You'll get hungry, you'll eat a little, and you'll feel full! I can honestly say this is the first time I've really been starving since I had my first surgery 2 1/2 years ago! This is how the rest of the world lives!!!

Six days out and nor hungry yet. Feeling much more human today. Yesterday I was getting there but today has been great so far.

Today is my 8th day out and I'm STARVING. I started to feel hungry yesterday, had a headache all day and everything. I can't start mushies till next monday. I literally dreamt of pureed foods last night. lol

OMGEEEE! :) I thought I was the only one that began to feel hungry the day of my surgery! It has been hell every since trying to eat healthily and not be hungry. I went for my first fill and I am still too loose and still hungry. My weight lose is at a stand still and I work out an hour everyday. I am not discouraged yet. I go for another fill on the 31st and this time I am full of questions about why I am going through so much hunger.:smile2:

I'm seven days out and not hungry at all...getting a lilttle worried i'm not getting in enough. I've read in another forum of two others that are on mushies already 6 days post op

my diet is

1 slim fast in the morning- takes me about 30 min to drink (used to be 5/10 mintues)

Jello or pudding and half can of tomatoe Soup or liquid or cream chicken soup

the other half of the soup for dinner

(i will try and drin about 2 16oz of Water.plain or with crystal light)

Feel great though...all pain is gone!:smile2:

Fill #3 was the magic one for me! Banded 12/16/09. With Fill #1...I was still just as hungry and could still eat just as much...Fill #2 was a little better...then Fill #3 I've had for 4 months now and am seriously struggling with if I should get just a teeny weenie fill next week at my appt or not because it is still working pretty good. My band is very fickle though :) (I'm convinced my band is a male lol). Somedays I can eat way more than I should, and then others it's a struggle to get down what I should. Once the restriction happens the weight loss will pick up again. It's frustrating yes, but it will pass.
