Hello Froggie, Doing good. I had fill #4 Friday. The doc informed me i am no longer Morbidly obese! Yea! 50lbs down since January but more importantly I am starting to see glimpses of my old self. The confidence that had left is slowly returning. I am alot more active and my kids really appreciate it.

I have a total of 6.1 cc's and feel a bit restricted, which by the way SUCKS! I hate eating with the family and abrouptly having to stop in the middle of an awesome meal. I guess that is what got me to where I am in the first place.

Some measurements, 6 inches lost around my waist and 3 inches lost around my neck, down 2 pant sizes and 1 shirt size. Lets hear from some of the others. If you need some help then we are here for you, if you can lend a hand to one of us then lets be that rock!!!!!

Wonderful to hear from you!!!! I get fill #4 tomorrow. I only have 3cc in my band so far, but have some fair restriction.

I have lost 58.8 pounds so far and have gone from a 2x to a 14 in pants and an extra large in tops.

I have lost 5.5 inches off my waist and 6 inches off my hips.

I am off my diabetes medicine and cut back on my blood pressure meds.

I am exercising at the gym and working with a trainer 2-3 times per weeks.

I love my band!

Congrats! I too love my band, it has given me a renewed since of being.

I'm still here - down 40+ pounds and loving my band! It still has a lot to teach me, but I am so thankful that I decided to take this big step and have my surgery.

Hi from Rosmay in new zealand and a april bandster:w00t:

Im due for fill no 4 and hoping for restriction as im not losing

and eat anything.Iv kept my pre and post op weight off though, but want to get restriction and get losing.I can eat anything and no getting stuck. How many fills does it take to get their:mellow:

Still kicking.. Fill stats are below. I'm at 4 cc's and have restriction... am struggling as always with food but thats a demon we all have to battle constantly. I'm working on getting my tail into the gym and start an organized exercize schedule, but that too is a struggle for me.

Anything worth doing though is always a struggle and worth it in the end.

NSV was that I squeezed into a size 14 dress! Not ready yet to wear it in public but Im hoping so by the end of August!

Hugs,

Heather

Hey guys, I am a late April B.B. I had my 4th fill last wed. Wow do I have restriction now! I have 9 cc in 14 band. I strarted at 250 and this morning I weighed 212. i love my band but hate the loose skin! I am losing weight wierd. The botttom of my stomach (below the belly button) is smaller than the top, causing serious muffin top when I sit down:mad2:

I have not been able to exercise much due to a painful B.R. 2 months ago. I am still not healed from that. The band has been the best decision I have made in years!!!! Congrats to all of us and wishing much more success:thumbup:

Still working it. No fills, but still losing steadily. Down from a 22 to a solid 16, some 14s....feel terrific.

Hello all!!! I'm still here also (just not as often). I've lost 60 lbs as of today and went from a size 22 to a 12

I walk 4-5 miles at least 3-4 days/week and take a weight training class 2-3 times a week. At least I try to do these things.....it really has helped with all around toning.

I've only had 2 fills and my doc doesn't tell me how much he puts in there, so I have no idea. He told me that's not important.....it's judged by how I feel. I have my 3rd fill next week, but I might not get it .....I feel pretty good.

I have never vomited and only felt a little stuck about 4 times that didn't last very long. I have fallen off the wagon quite a few times....White wine, pizza, ice cream - things that I really shouldn't be eating/drinking - BUT - I can only eat a little bit of it which is GREAT!! (except the wine.....that always goes down smoothly)

I am SO happy with my decision to get this band!!!!

Wow, sounds like everyone is doing great! It is so great to hear from you all.

By the way Beachcitygirl, in the last few weeks I have lost more weight in my lower stomach also and my upper stomach is sticking out further than the lower. Really weird.

Anyone have an explaination for that phenomenon?

WOW---congrats to all!! I actually have two questions...

1) if everyone on the boards seem to say that expections need to be realistic and an average weight lossis 1-2 per week.....How are the April Bunnies losing WAYYYYY more than the normal?

2) how are the exercises going...I know that we're all doing them, but is anyone in a exercise routine? Its so hot all I can do is do laps, Water resistance, and tred water in the pool. (total time is 30-40 min)

Again, congrats to my fellow bunnies,

Kristina:thumbup:

I'm still here and doing well. My weight is coming off slowly compared to many of the rest of you, but I'm still averaging around 1.7lbs per week! Way better than I ever did by myself!

Hello everyone. I was banded April 15. Currently I have had two fills, with my last one being 7/19. So far I have lost 52 pounds. The progress is moving along slowly but I'm making progress. I definitely exercise everyday for one hour. Still haven't reach good restriction yet, however I trying to make the best of my band until I reach my sweet spot.:blushing:

Hi. I was banded on 4/8. I've had one 2 cc fill and it seems to be working out for me. I've gone from a size 22 to a size 16, and have been working out 5-6x/week.

I can't see much difference in my energy level, but other people have commented that I seem to have more.

Hi Everyone!

I was glad to see this posting. Its nice to see how people are doing. I know we all have fallen back from being on the website as much but I too have to remember it is a support group! I think I have 5cc in my band now,and my last fill I could feel a difference. Ive spent the last 5weeks recognizing and asking my self: Am I eating the right food? Is this texture going to work w/ my band? Am I eating too fast? Am I full? Is this too early for me to eat? and recognizing that I eat much better in the evening! All these things I am learning slowly almost like I had an awakening finally. Up until my last fill I didn't feel much different with my fills, but this last one has got me there. I one point I was at 35pounds lost, but last time I checked it was like 32pounds lost. I realized lately that my body could be in starvation mode, not getting enough calories probably and definately not eating enough Protein....so I have focused more on my protein this week and went back into my exercise routine that for the last 6weeks have slipped. So again this is a journey and it reminds me everyday that I am learning everyday something new about my lapband. We all need to be refocused again on why we did this and where we came from. I'm happy that I had it done....but somewhat remorse that I had to have it done at the same time to loose weight. Goodluck to everyone!:blushing: Keep it going! Be happy to be a LOOSER!:cool2:
