HI april bandsters. I was banded 4days ago and the pain has almost gone and im drinking what im ment to. my Question is-- Did any of you stay woozy/dizzy for a while after your op? Iv have real woozy spells and am to scared to go 4 a walk outside in case i fall.im sensitive to drugs and think this must be the anesthetic still working its way out?? I read on the net that anesthetic gets absorbed into your fat cells and and can take time dissolving. If you where woozy how long did it take to come right? All advise gratefully recieved from this dizzy chick:huh2:

Hi everyone.enjoying this April thread and reading the pre and post ops as they happen.Im 16 days into preop diet and have got used to it amazingly, even to having the empty tummy feeling:redface: Im getting banded monday-have moments of nervousness but wanting to get on with it.the main thing is to get as much Knowledge as you can,get your food prepared pre and post op and then take each day as it comes.I think a lot of what you panic about doesnt happen.Im still trying to figure the ticker thing:blush:when i do il be sweet.

Hi eveyone,Im like many of you on the pre op diet of 3optifast meals- well shakes, bars, soups and veges. This is my 3rd day and im hungry but coping, mostly by spending time on WLS sites, mainly this site of course! My op is 26th,i have times of determination that i can do this and be sucsessful and the odd time when i think will i change?Im selfpaying so its a big financal sacrafice too. I havnt told my family partly fear of not losing enough and too be honest I dont want to explain myself to everyone.lapband is not a well known op here in south island-New Zealand, though its growing.so I may be miles away, but only a keyboard apart.

after reading happy trucker i hope my op is as straight forward.I was ment to be banded on the 1st but postponed to 26th so started pre op diet today. In New Zealand its usual to have 3optifast shakes or soups then 2cups salad/veges for lunch and tea. I envey you guys in the USA you get a lot more sugar free stuff than over here, but as i live on a farm our food is homegrown and fresh.my tummys feeling a bit empty on the 1st day, plus a rotton cold-oh well im still excited bout the weeks ahead.takecare April Bandsters. P.S im amazed your sent home the same day,we stay overnight here.
