Seminar finished with my husband on 6/24. Consult scheduled for 7/15. They say with my insurance it is like a golden ticket. My husband is super supportive. I really like the doctor and his staff. We are scheduled to move back to the US in the fall so I think the timing will be perfect. I am excited!

Congrats on starting the process. It seems lengthy, but it goes by fast. You made a good decision in finding these forums. I have learned more than I could have ever thought and I feel I am prepared and very well informed for surgery. May I ask what you insurance is??

I still have a psych eval and the medical clearance. My problem is I live abroad. I was hoping to get everything done while on vacation but I don't know if that is going to work. I have FED BC/BS. They do not require the 3 or 6 month dieting. The doctor's office told me they are easier to work with. I am just hoping my time line for returning to the US works. I really would like to be home by October so that I can have surgery by November........They did indicate the process should take me around 2.5 months.

Sounds like we are pretty much on the same track! I attended my seminar on 6/19 and will have my surgeon consult on 7/22. Now that I have made the decision to have the LapBand, I want everything done like yesterday LOL!

Good Luck to yoU!!! I hope the timing works out perfectly for you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
