Anyone interested in a Christmas challenge?

Recommended Posts

Hi

I just found out about this, so I went ahead and put my name on the google spreadsheet. This is fun for me, I need this push. Now has anyone thought of make a spreadsheet with the exercise that they do? If you have can you post the link or email it to dslouha@verizon.net?

Thanks and good luck

I don't know if anyone else has noticed but the Christmas challenge participants have lost a combined 162.9 lbs. So, we have basically lost a person and that's with a lot of people who have not updated their weight loss!

Just saw this and I am joining today! I need some workout motivation. I see that many people have huge goals, but I am doing 48 lbs, which seems impossible right now...let's see how this goes.

Ugh...for some reason I am retaining Water. So I stayed the same this week. My ring is tight again and so was my bra which wouldn't have happened if it was weight related. Guess I'd better check my salt intake. I've had more than a couple of the new McDonald's smoothies this past week and even if they fit in with my calorie goals it is the only change I made so I will cut them out and see if that gets me back on track. Congrats to everyone else! And I'm not really unhappy as I'm doing well anyway.

Lost 2.8 this week! Woohoo! We are less than 5lbs from hitting the 200lb lost mark (as a group). Way to go guys!

1/5 of the challenge down and we've lost 272lbs! That's an average of 55.2lbs a week! If we keep up an average like that, we could lose 1,435lbs total by Christmas. I think we should set a group goal of trying to lose a thousand pounds by Christmas. Thoughts?

Count me in! I'll add myself to the spreadsheet on Monday, when I weigh myself for the Labor Day challenge. I think I set too ambitious of a goal for that one, so I'm going to go with 50 pounds for the Christmas challenge. One of my coworkers is getting banded today, so we're going to start hitting the gym together at lunch once she recovers. Sort of looking forward to it (though the lazy part of me is not!).

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
