Hi everyone! I'm finally BANDED!! woo hoo! very excited. hasn't been the easiest of days, but nothing worth doing/having is easy!

Got a question for all of you "seasoned" bandsters... Are you burping? I was under the impression we wouldn't be able to burp much after banding... yet I find I am burping all the time? Especially when i've taken in some fluids... I burp. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!!

I couldn't stop burping in the hospital after my surgery and they said that is normal. I'm 7 months out and I burp a whole lot now I'm constantly having to apologize to my coworkers. Completely normal.

The more restriction I have the more I burp. I just tell everyone, "sorry, it's a medical condition!"

I have heard that it is common. but since I have been banded on may 25, I have not burped once. I bfeel like I have to, but they just dont come up. Is that bad?

while i was in hospital i burped all the way down and up the hall,,,one nurse reminded me that flatulance was very good too.. not to much of that, gas gets rid of the extra air we got during surgery and the extra air we now breathe

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
