Ok, this might get a little graphic, but I've never had this problem, sooo I'm hoping its normal.

I just had my surgery on Monday... 3/8/10

When I go to the bathroom, I pee, but also, but I also have liquid out of my butt, kinda like i'm peeing out of my butt. It happens almost every time I go to the bathroom. And usually I feel much much better afterwards, so I'm hoping its normal for after surgery?

Also. I'm trying to drink as much Water as I can, however, yesterday, I think i may have drank a little to much at a time, and I felt very nauseous, and ended up throwing up, but nothing came out but spit and a little bit of foam. Is this what happens if I drink to much? Or could it have been caused by something else?

And when can I take a shower? My mom, a nurse, told me to wait a few days, but I'm really feeling dirty, even though I've washed up with a wash cloth. I just don't want my incisions to get damaged or anything.

Thanks for your help!

Okay...first of all it depends on whether it is stool or urine that is coming out. If it is stool, you are fine, if you have urine coming out of front and back, my friend, you best be making a appt for a gyne, because you need a /p repair for a fistula....plain and simple..........onenuttynurse...

Yes, liquid in liquid out. I am 2 weeks post-op and everytime I have a shake it equals a liquid BM. But I would check with your doctor, along with the shower question. My incisions were closed with internal disolveable stiches along with steri-strips on top. My doctor told me to shower 48 hours after surgery and to pat the steri-strips, not scrub or rub them.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
