I am home and it is now 3 days after my Boob readuction (I am now a 34C) and Brachioplasty. I go back tomorrow to see the wounds person at hosp. I hafta say - I have had NO pain!

The worst bit was when they removed the drain from the right hand boob - that was ouchy - But other than weird feelings like vibrations in my boobs - Everything is fine - I have some swelling in the forearm of my right arm. Everything else is fine....

I have the compression grment on - Havent peeked at arms - all covered up. Boobs look pretty good! I went down from a 34G to a 34C and he said he took off 1.8k of stuff (I dont know if that was boobs and arms or just boobs)

I am amazed - I really was expecting agony...

:-)

I have little boobies! I am so happy!!!

Congrats niki! How are you feeling today, over a month after the surgery? Are you still having pain?

I'm having my TT monday with an overnight stay (repairing a hernia while they are in there). You said you were given percocet for pain. Did they give you enough to sustain you for enough time? Did they help much? I know vicodin does absolutely nothing for me.

Congrats to you!!!

AvonAndrea,

Congrats on you TT TODAY!!! I am sorry that I did not get back to you before now, but I worked all weekend! I hope that you are feeling well, resting and enjoying the new view!

I used the percocet for pain for about 4 days. That was the time where I had the most pain. After that, I did not need anything. My legs were tender, but tolerable. I have over half of the RX still in my bathroom.

Congrats again! And Happy Healing!

Hi ladies. I'm home and day 3 now and got to take a shower and wash off the gooey bandages and put on a clean compression garment. Felt much better after that. I would say I'm a full B or small C but with swelling right now and soreness, a little hard to tell. I had more drainage and pain on the left side than right. I guess I'm more of a whimp on pain than Niki-- you are amazing how you did.

Just taking it easy and enjoying some pampering from my sister.

Kathy,

First, let me say how happy I am for you! To be recovering from surgery and still checking in on me, I thank you!

Now let me say that one thing I have learned from being a RN, is that everyone's pain is different and real. I was lucky and did not need any Lipo, and from what I have heard, that is where most of the pain comes from. What are you taking for the pain? I hope it is keeping you comfortable! And I would love to see some pics!

I haven't taken any pics as yet - Probably Thursday when I can get someone here to take the pics LOL

I am amazed at no pain - I SAW them yesterday for the first time _ OMG - They are great - The 1.8kg was arms and boobs)

I am happier than I have been for so long - They are still a bit swollen (so maybe at a D for now) Kinda hoping they stay as they are cos they are kinda WHOOP WHOOP lolol

Next is the belly...... Whih should be in August.... Then on down from there till I am a 'normal' person again. And I hafta to be honest - They say you will have scars - Yes - But I felt sooo much more disfigured by the skin than any scars I might be left with...

Just sooooo happy at the moment (MY Mum wants a breast reduction now too LOLOL)

Sue,

I was wondering if these procedures are better covered in the UK??? I was told by my PS that unless my skin hung lower than my labia, they would not cover the skin removal. And even if they did cover it, there would be no skin removal above my incision.,,so all of the extra skin above my hip-line would still be there!:scared2:

Sue and Niki - I bought a 38C and a 38B bra (Warner brand - very lightly padded and no wire) and took both home to give them a try with my sister helping. The B was too small and we tried the C on and it was fine. I think with what swelling I'll have when that goes down, it will end up a small C and I'm very happy with that.

Kathy-I am still wearing a simple fitting sports bra. I go back to the doctor the first week in May, and I am going to ask him when I will be safe to wear a reg bra. Did you get cut around the areola, down to your chest wall, the in a smile at the base of your breast?

Sue-Who would have thought we would be flashing people??? LOL

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
