Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor in some desperate need of encouragment to get back on track..

Recommended Posts

so im almost 2 yrs out now. and i did so well at 1st. My starting weight was 272. and then i got down to 209 and have been at a stand still since the summer time. i've had a fill a few months ago and that didnt do much. and now im up at 213-211 here and there. i just cant seem to get back on track. its actually making me depressed. i have a history of getting the winter blues..and i think im totally in that right now. i have no motivation to do anything..eat right, or excercise. i need help..i hate the winter and not losing is making me feel even worse. i go back to the doctor on the 11th. like next week..i think i need to do a fill..im constantly hungry. i just need some encouragement, advice, someone who has this problem too? anything? thanks so much in advance!!

xoxo,

jenna

Time for you to go back to basics and remember what you did at the beginning to lose weight and repeat it- it works! You are living proof. Set up a meal plan for th enext week and carry your food and Water with you. Do you think that might help? I hate winter also. Short days and bad weather leave me depressed as well, even here in "sunny" CA. I try to carry high Fiber things like celery and carrots and apples with me to deal with those "hunger" issues since they fill the band pretty quick. Beef Jerky is a good one too. time to make sure you have flour, sugar and potatoes out of your diet and anything that is liquid and has calories so you can work on restricting calories, increasing your Protein and having good choices with you at all times. If you can get started on that you'll make progress and then can get a fill on the 11th if you need it. Hope this helps

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
