  1. I used the premiere protein as well (in fruit punch). I second the not sticking up too much though unless you have someone else who can drink them because our tastes can change post surgery, especially for sweet stuff.
  2. If you have one, Winn Dixie has rotisserie Turkey and chicken that they will slice for you at the deli. I never asked about sodium but I don’t think they add alot or junk to it because the calories are very low as best as I can recall.
  3. What are nut butter packets. I mean obviously peanut butter but are they natural and where do you get packets. I live in florida and these are great ideas for me to stock up for hurricanes.
  4. Their menu and nutritional info is all online too. ?
  5. Ooh I will have to ask my best friend that lives in a little bit bigger city if she has any of those restaurants, especially Zaxby’s because that Buffalo salad sounds delicious. Is the chipotle ranch at Moe’s real spicy? I love ranch but I’m more of a mild type for salsa or wings or whatever. Those skinnylicious salads sound interesting too. If you like Thai salad the tropical smoothie cafe had one that I thought was pretty good (I must confess it was my first ever Thai anything though so you can take that with a grain of salt).
  6. What is the pollo asado exactly? I seen it on the menu but wasn’t really sure. I have never been to chipotle. I heard that their tacos are really good.
  7. Hummm. I never would have thought about subway having salads (or protein bowls). I will have to check that out. On their website I see “no bready bowls” I assume that’s them.
  8. Today I tried Panara Breads Cobb salad. I did not like the green goddess dressing but my aunt absolutely loved it. I ate my sandwich and brought the salad home to eat with my bolthouse farms yogurt ranch and it was delicious. I got half sandwich and half salad and that was enough for lunch and dinner. I also like chick fila’s market and south west salads and recently tried Wendy’s apple pecan salad which was okay but the second time it gave me an upset stomach which was weird. Where else can I get a good salad. I am looking for places that I can go with others that are not on a diet.
  9. It will depend on you size, your fitness and some medical stuff. You should really ask your dr this one.
  10. So glad to hear you are recovering relatively well. That’s great that you have a scale that measures the small losses (less than a pound). Mine is supposed to and it gives me random weights with ounces but I don’t think it’s accurate down to the ounce or I would have seen losses more like yours.
  11. Hello and welcome. How are you doing post op so far??
  12. Yay. I was thinking about you today. So glad they didn’t make you cancel.
  13. I’m so sorry for all that you are going through. I think your plan to see a psychologist is a really good one though and I’m sure your physical therapist will teach you some exercises you can do as soon as you are ready. Once you work through some of your issues with the psychologist perhaps another visit with your nutritionist would be helpful.
  14. Not everyone loses weight on the pre op diet. It is actually designed to shrink the liver only. Most people also lose weight but not all. The important thing is to stick to the diet so that your liver shrinks And your surgeon can go on with the surgery as planned.
  15. I can’t help with the pain or the getting fluids in but I used milk of magnesia to help me with the constipation. I then took soluable fiber daily to keep me regular without the meds.
  16. I struggled with this at first too. I had to take milk of magnesia to get me to go and start on soluable fiber which I took every morning until I got Back to a normal serving size.
  17. Immediately post op I took the bariatric advantage chewable. I was able to take it without food even and it didn’t upset my stomach. Of course everyone is different but I did well with it.
  18. This is an older post but I guess someone recycled it for a reason so….hersheys makes zero sugar chocolates if you can eat just a little bit also quest makes candy bites that are chocolate with protein. For salty cravings their protein chips are excellent as well. For carbs I agree that you just have to go cold Turkey for a few days and it gets easier.
  19. Hummmmm. I think I would want the doctor to decide but I wonder if you will get that far. If I remember correctly they asked at the checking desk if I had any of the COVID symptoms (they listed them all out). Hopefully it’s nothing and you still get to go through with it but better safe than sorry so definitely tell The doctor.
  20. That’s awesome. Congratulations!!
  21. yea I am just saying I don’t think B12 is one that is harmful in excess.
  22. I’m pretty sure it was B12 my family dr told me that you just pee out any excess.
