  1. Ooh also hersheys makes zero sugar candy bars and quest candy bites are pretty good with the added bonus of protein.
  2. Hummmm…I’m sure someone else who actually experienced it has more advice but if you haven’t tried it maybe slow down taking more time in between sips.
  3. I have never had them but I’m pretty sure you get them from eating too much. Are you stopping at the first sign of restriction.
  4. Yea and if you like it directly on the rack you have to be careful and not cut it too small. Also because it drips sometimes put a cookie sheet on the rack below.
  5. Have you tried the cauliflower crust. I personally like it just as much as regular. And they have it at Walmart in the freezer section now with or without toppings. I like it without cause I make white pizza with ricotta and cheese (and chicken). Tip: if you are like me and would only want one slice at a time, cut the crust or pizza in slices when you get home and it’s partially thawed then freeze and you can pull out just one slice whenever you want it.
  6. I just tried something new. It’s called frozen yogurt bark and their are tons of recipes out there but you basically just use Greek yogurt and place in a parchment lined baking sheet and freeze. The only difference is the flavor of yogurt and the toppings. I am not a huge fan of Greek yogurt but with the toppings (sugar feee chocolate chips and pecans) it was still good. I made them In ice cube trays because I wanted to know if I bought an Easter mold if I could make them for the kids in fun shapes. I think it will work but It’s taking alot longer to freeze than I thought. I am going to try it with regular yogurt next. Not as much protein but still sugar free and low calorie and I like the taste a lot better. Anyways, Google it if you are interested.
  7. Absolutely none and I didn’t quite reach my goal weight and gained ten pounds yet I’m still thrilled to be just “overweight” now.
  8. I agree with sleevemealone. If she continues to have trouble she absolutely should consider another doctor. It sounds like she may be doing a little better now though. I don’t know if anyone told you guys this but typically people dump on certain things. Too much sugar or fat typically and by keeping a food log and notating when she dumps she may be able to figure out what her trigger foods are. Then it’s just a matter of avoiding those foods or sometimes only eating small quantities of the food to avoid dumping. I had the sleeve and I have not yet dumped so others who have may have more advice on this.
  9. It happens. I am only a year post op. Didn’t quite get to my goal weight and gained ten pounds back to boot. We are all just human. Try not to beat yourself up.
  10. Ugh I am contemplating joining a gym. I just wish they had an a women's only one closer to me.
  11. I would maybe press them a little more. That doesn’t seem right. Did you ask to get on a cancellation list for that may procedure. That’s a long time when your in pain.
  12. I am currently just over a year out from sleeve surgery. My goal was 160 but the lowest I got was 169. I was beginning to accept that weight but now it has been creeping up ever since and this morning I was 179. I have still been eating good, but more. Around 1200-1400 calories a day. I thought that would be okay… that would at least maintain the 169 but I’m starting to realize that I need to keep the calories even lower. Probably because I am not very active. Idk what I am looking for in terms of a response. I think I am just putting this out there to hold myself accountable. I hadn’t even updated my profile to reflect the gain because I am so ashamed. I have got to stop snacking between meals I know it but it’s so hard with the hunger back. Did anyone else start gaining back this early out. Could it be because I was lower BMI to start and 169 really was my set point and this is the 10 pound bounce back? I guess I could be happy at this weight, but not any heavier, i am just really hoping that I don’t gain anymore.
  13. Awesome. Let us know how you are doing as soon as you are feeling up to it.
  14. People tend to respond only if they think they have something helpful to contribute. It’s definitely not a clique or I wouldn’t like it here either. The more you post the more you will see replies to your posts.
  15. Congratulations and good work getting all the clearances they didn’t even ask for. Lol.
  16. My BMI was 35 and the dr said he thought sleeve was sufficient but he said he would do bypass if I wanted it.
  17. During COVID I was trying and actually losing weight by dieting and exercising on a treadmill at home. Until my knees started to hurt pretty bad after just a short ways on the treadmill. I was a BMI of around 33 then and the weight was already taking a toll on my knees. Well then I took some time off the treadmill as the dr suggested and started to gain it back (the little I had lost). I just realized then that the problem was only going to snowball with every pound I gained.
  18. I was feeling a bit dehydrated and my urine was dark so I called my team and they arranged for me to get fluids. I called right away and they got me In asap so it never got bad, thankfully.
  19. Congratulations on your surgery date. You’ve got this.
  20. Yea I tried a couple times to slow eating pre surgery with no luck so I just waited till post surgery and literally had to use a clock. I did this during the purée and soft food phases but by the regular food phase I realized I wasn’t really eating slow and nothing happened. Granted I alway measure out my portions and never eat too close to feeling full so maybe that’s why?? Not sure but you will be more able to do it immediately post op when your body is healing and you know you can possibly hurt yourself if you don’t. And your body will tell you if you have to continue eating slow. I should say adain that the purpose of eating slow is to give you body a chance to catch up and tell you your full so that you don’t overeat so measuring food and eating less than your pouch is very important if you don’t eat much slower.
  21. My favorite smoothie is banana and nut butter but it’s too many calories to fit in my weight loss phase. That’s healthy calories if you use nut butter with no sugar or salt added.
  22. Congratulations on your surgery date and keep posting here for all kinds of support.
