  1. If you have a hard time finding a crystal light flavor you tolorate you could also try cirkul. They have special bottles that fit cartridges and what’s good is you can adjust the intensity of the flavor. I haven’t ordered one yet because they are a bit pricey compared to my generic crystal light but early out after surgery that could have been a game changer when fluids were a challenge. My aunt is the one who turned me onto it. They sell them at bed bath and beyond but they have more to choose from and you get stuff free if you order direct on Their website.of course you can also adjust the intensity of the flavor of crystal light by just slowly adding water if you want too. But it is something to keep in mind cause the flavors are different.
  2. I’m 99% certain all they have in chews are multi vitamin and calcium and I bought the chews early out and they looked exactly like that so I’m pretty certain they are calcium. There was a phone number on their website though if you want to be 100% sure.
  3. To me baby food is too bland but I have heard of people who eat it during purée phase by adding their own spices. I was satisfied by the ricotta bake and refried beans or mashed potatoes at that stage so I never tried it but it was absolutely allowed by my team.
  4. I don’t think I understand your question. The flavors are printed right there on the wrapper. Do you mean are they calcium or something else?? As far as I know they only make chewables in the multivitamin and calcium. Hope that helps.
  5. You can also put this information in your phone under medical. I’m not sure if they are actually required to look there. Seems like they would be if you weren’t able to talk for yourself.
  6. Four days isn’t going to make a huge difference. My team even told me if I couldn’t take my vitamins for the first week or so it wouldn’t kill me. But, I say it depends on how worried YOU are going to be about it though. If you feel confident about missing Those four days after reading some of the answers here go for it, but if your going to worry about it and ruin your trip it may be worth the 30 bucks. Also, you may want to make sure to try the new iron you buy before your trip in case it causes nausea. No need to be sick while on your trip.
  7. That’s horrible. I am so sorry your having to wait AND take all the extra time off work. Hopefully everything will go on as expected and this will just be your last little vacation before your journey. You can take the time getting things organized and in order before surgery. I know I wished I had cleaned the house right before because I was just stuck in the house looking at all the stuff I would do if I was allowed. It drove me crazy to not just do it.
  8. I had the sleeve over a year ago and I was never even prescribed PPI’s. It’s a doctors preference but if you are worried about taking them I would be asking if you even need anything.
  9. That’s fine. The soup is most likely condensed so the broth flavor will be more intense. I prefer that as well so I used the flavor packets from ramen noodles and found them to be more flavorful than other broths.
  10. Hello and welcome.
  11. Good luck tomorrow. Update us as soon as you feel able.
  12. Glad you found a solution.
  13. Hello and welcome.
  14. I had food funerals too. Not too many but enough. I was worried about not being able to enjoy my favorite foods ever again. Looking back it was silly because now I can eat everything I did before but if I had it to do over I may make the same choice just in case. Lol. I agree with Gradycat though that it will make the transition easier the more you can give up now in terms of carbs and sugar mostly.
  15. I forgot to add that if you do decide to do the flight that early it may be helpful to arrange for a wheel chair to get through the airport. Depending on how big the airport is, of course but if it’s a lot of walking in a rush it may be better to be safe than sorry. You can always get up and walk around when you get to your terminal and have time.
  16. I would have been able to but I had very little pain or issues post op. Some people will say they couldn’t have because of pain or nausea, etc. i wonder if you can get something from the doctor to change your flight if you have any issues??
  17. I would trust my teams instruction on the timeline (whether they think you are healed enough), but if I did decide to have a drink I would try it at home first (same mixer and all) to make sure it doesn’t make you sick. We are all different and our bodies react differently. For me, I can’t stand the taste of rum anymore and I used to drink it often enough. I can’t drink it fast enough to get a buzz so it seems like a waste of calories. I have tried a few times and it just tastes awful to me now. I have heard others who dumped and some it just made them feel sick while others got beyond inebriated so make sure you try it at home first and have a plan for your ride home.
  18. I second keeping busy and getting rid of all the temptations. I ordered adult crafts from Amazon but you could do anything. Read a book, binge watch Netflix, organize a cabinet, literally whatever you have to do to distract yourself from food. If it’s a serious problem you may want to discuss with the bariatric therapist but if it’s just mild head hunger you can just keep busy.
  19. It probably didn’t sell because it didn’t taste very good. I can’t imagine cream cheese with no fat.
  20. It seems like others have suggested everything I can think of except for the tuna pouches. Do they have mercury?? They are right next to the canned tuna. Also you could get rotisserie chicken to make chicken salad. I do this often to save prep time.
  21. Yea I took milk of magnesia to get it to pass but once it did I just took benefiber daily to keep me regular. And once I got back to a normal serving size of food I was able to wean myself off of that (some people need to take it forever though). Tip. Walmart has a generic benefiber powder that worked just fine.
  22. I am about a year out and I was worried I would lose all the weight and then gain it back like I always do. It’s just because of all the yo-yo diets we have all done that didn’t work out.
  23. I noticed that popcorn is a slider food for me as well. I do the skinny pop but I have eaten two of the individual bags on more than one occasion and probably could eat even more if I allowed myself.
