  1. Okay I just tried it for lunch based on your recommendation and I agree. I usually don’t even like vinigarette dressings but I loved it and of course the little candied pecans are delicious too. I am interested to know how they figure it has 39 grams of protein though cause it didn’t seem like alot of chicken. I know nuts have protein too but still. I question that it was that much protein. I think I may take it home and weigh it next time out of curiosity. Maybe it’s cause it’s cut in cubes instead of strips it just doesn’t look like as much?? Or maybe because I ordered it without blue cheese and they made it in a hurry they put less chicken on? Ooh well either way it’s very good and only 10 minutes away from me so I’m sure I will be back. I’m thinking Parmesan Cesar next time. ?. i just checked Walmart and Publix online and they don’t carry the dressing, Amazon does but you have to get three bottles. Idk why they do that.
  2. I am one year out and 5 pounds from a normal BMI and I do not have any excess skin at all. I was a 35 BMI and a slow loser and I think all that helped plus I am 43. I also wasn’t at my highest weight for very long as a result of many yo yo diets.
  3. I am a year out as well and could also easily eat 1800 calories but I try not to because I know that would make me gain. If you do want to lose more you will probably be like me and have to measure everything out and plan snack times and make yourself wait for them even though you are maybe a little hungry. It has gotten harder for me now with the hunger hormones back, though. Congratulations on your loss so far.
  4. I have been checking out the chipotle website since I read this. It’s weird that they don’t have hamburger as a meat?? I like chicken and steak tacos too but that is odd. Now I Am craving this. Lol
  5. I am a year out and I never had any hair loss. I was lucky and able to meet my fluid and protein goals from the very beginning. Not sure if that had anything to do with it.
  6. No. I thought they were too big from the day of surgery. And after they healed And I got used to them they were the same size but they looked okay with my body. Enough that I eventually even went to push up bras. I think it was just the initial shock from the change that took some time for me to get used to. To my mom and my best friend who were very interested cause they wanted implants too, they looked the same, but to me they looked huge at first.
  7. I’m gonna have to check out chipotle. We have one but it’s kinda in a bad spot driving wise it’s not convenient so I’ve never been.
  8. Ooh yea I forgot all about the bra situation. I had back pain also until I got new bras. Huge difference that made.
  9. A little late in the game but I agree with everything mentioned above. Three week stall, watwr weight, etc. as long as you are sticking to your plan it will break.
  10. It happens more than you know. My mom had a heart attack and didn’t realize it till a week later when they asked her about any pains and she said yes she had them but they weren’t terribly bad and they went away so she didn’t think too much of it. I agree it would be freaky though. Especially if it was so long ago that you don’t even remember when it could have been.
  11. it is more of a problem with sleeve. Some people who are not willing to take the risk go with bypass instead.
  12. There is a thread on here called “weirdest non scale victories” that you should check out. It will remind you of all the little things that will change or become easier for you when you lose the weight. It should help With some of the anxiety.
  13. My goal is 160 but I am a little taller than you and I also have bipolar and statistically we do not lose as much weight. Have you even considered bypass if You get heartburn already or is it really infrequent and the doctor thinks your fine with sleeve? I wanted bypass because you lose a little more weight but the doctor advised against it because of medication absorption. Well he left it up to me but his first choice for me was sleeve. They are both really good and relatively safe surgeries.
  14. I know that weight loss with revision is typically slower and somewhat less. Also if you weigh less on surgery day your loss will be less because you don’t have as much to lose.
  15. I was just thinking. I have a larger bust as well. I looked into reduction but part of mine is an implant from when I was thin and had much smaller boobs so the doctor said to take enough tissue out for insurance to cover it that I would not be happy with the size. Anyways, I remember thinking that my breasts were huge post implant surgery and after a while I started wearing push up bras because I still wanted them to look bigger. I bet after some time and the initial shock wears off you will be happier (at least a little).
  16. Oops wrong thread. Ignore.
  17. I have been able to eat more than expected at every given stage since my sleeve so I have to measure my portions still. At one year out I have been eating around one serving of most things. I just made dinner though and those hard taco shells from old El Paso seem pretty big for the serving size to be TWO shells?? I ate one and don’t feel full (but I never do). I am just curious if other sleevers that are over a year out would have more than one?? I guess the amount of meat you get in one shell isn’t much (I didn’t weight it).
  18. Recovery is all over the map but my guess is if you are having the band removed same day that you may have a little more pain then those of us that just had the sleeve. I had very little pain post surgery but some others have a lot. It is just very individual. I would say the fact that you work from home and that you work for yourself will definitely make it easier to transition back. I assume you will be able to nap if you needed to. That’s what I would have needed if anything.
  19. I am 5’8” and weighed 220 on surgery day. Idk about you but I know that I have tried every diet out there and may have lost but I gained that plus some. My gynecologist pulled my records for me and I gained about five pounds a year on average for over ten years (that’s as far as they could go back). I knew that if I waited I would just gain more, period. I was one year out yesterday and I am currently 9 pounds from goal (5 from a normal BMI). I never had any heartburn either and I am on medications that I was worried about how they will absorb but so far so good. Not one incidence of heartburn and medication works fine. Absolutely no regrets here.
  20. I was looking at the calories for the ceasar and thought it looked like less than typical (440). At one year out, If it has a lot of protein it works for me as my main meal of the day. The taco salad wouldn’t but I probably wouldn’t like it anyways after getting used to lean beef most beef is greasy to me.
  21. Had anyone tried these? I haven’t been to Wendy’s in so long but my mom gets their chili all the time and she told me yesterday that Wendy’s had some good looking salads and I checked their website and they look pretty good. Just curious if anyone has tried them.
  22. I had their market salad yesterday with the recommended apple cider vinaigrette dressing. Only 540 calories 28 grams of protein and that’s with all the toppings (granola, almonds and that whole packet of dressing which I only needed half of cause I don’t eat half the lettuce) anyways It was really good. And I tried the diet lemonade because of this thread lol.
  23. My cholesterol went up immediately postop to a little bit to where he told me to watch it and the surgeons office told me to take fish oil but someone on here said it could have to do with the rapid weight loss somehow. I haven’t verified that with a doctor yet but they must’ve heard that somewhereI haven’t verified that with a doctor yet but they must’ve heard that somewhere
  24. I thought about it but the most obvious gift would have been food and with COVID I wasn’t sure if they would be allowed to have it plus I didn’t want to eat it when I got it all together. Thinking back I suppose a big basket of pre packaged goodies could have worked. Not sure about the irony of giving food either. Lol. Maybe a gift card for Starbucks or panara bread.
  25. I’ve never had one but I’m sure it’s just a precaution. Good news is even if it comes back abnormal at least you learned something is going on with your heart before it becomes an issue and they can most likely fix it and then do your surgery. (Im guessing of course).
