  1. I am at 8 months and eat 1200-1600 cals a day and I have since 2.5 months. At 1.5 months I was lucky to get 750 due to my swelling.
  2. Hun, I hear you totally. YOU HAVE NOT FAILED. you have come a long way already!!! you can make more effort to get where you want to be and use your tool to help. Get back to keeping track of all that enters your body and amp up that workout. you can do this. Pick a small goal. Try to lose 3lbs in the next month with your changes you can make now. Its not too late!! Get back to basics. I will be joining you to get my last 5-10lbs off. :-) Keep us posted
  3. I was in the same boat as you. So I ate a lot of cottage cheese, babybel cheese, purred meats, tuna, and drank a lot of milk. Thats all I could do. By the time my aversion to them went away I could eat enough protein to make my goal! You;ll be ok!!! Just be diligent.
  4. wow, I am confused. I think you are right on track, and doing very well!!!! 76lbs in 6 months is amazing.
  5. I have lost almost 90 lbs and I have zero saggy skin. I have a few wrinkles on my abdomen thats it. and I am almost 29. there is hope!
  6. I am definately in the lose weight slowly zone now and I happy as can be!! Good job so far! You'll meet those goals!
  7. I had sliming or frothing about 6 times total... last time was 5 months out. And I now sneeze mulitple times if I eat a little bit too much instead..... odd huh?
  8. I did, it goes in phases. I would notice I would stall after a large loss, then the skin improves, then I would lose more weight, notice some sagginess-- then the skin improves. In total I have almost zero loose skin at this point and I am almost to goal!!
  9. This is similar to what I ate/ eat. I was never under 1200 cals though!
  10. Looks like you may have had a low-end BMI to start?? don't worry, the weight WILL come off. I thought I would NEVER get below 200lbs..... and here I am 6 lbs from goal wearing a size ten.... still losing pounds and inches.
  11. I had an uber stall at 3 months out too. you will break out of it, keep doing what you are doing, seriously!!!!!
  12. I have honestly eaten 1200-1600 cals per day since 2.5 months out and I am still losing. I think it is to our advantage to not eat too little. My metabolism is still good and I have so much energy!
  13. I feel the same way!! I am weirded out when people call me small. or when a size 10 fits. I walk around feeling like I am still a 22 most of the time. Or think people are staring at my like I am still the "big girl"
  14. My BMI was the same as yours. preop (41 or so) And I am telling you this is the best thing I have done in my adult life-- please look at my before and after pics. I am the happiest I have ever been!! I still enjoy food, just eat about half the portions. NO side effects, no loose skin, no troubles. :-) Of course the decesion is yours but I am THRILLED I did this.
  15. High weight was 262, currently 174
  16. Thanks everyone!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy I cannot even tell you. To be honest the weight loss has been quite effortless-- I do work as a nurse and get physical activity that way-- and walk at the mall a few days a week-- thats it. Also I feel like my higher calorie point has helped me a lot too. I eat 1200-1600 cals a day and I have since 2.5 months. I have NO LOOSE SKIN... a few wrinkles on my stomach. I am very lucky!! The higher cals have helped me keep my metabolism up i think. I eat a lot of Chipotle burrito bowls with steak and black Beans. They last 4-6 meals. :-)
  17. Best thing I have done in my adult life is have a VSG!!!!!
  18. I drink about 3-4 drinks a week total :-) 1-2 beers at my bowling leauge, and 1-2 on a Friday night with my boyfriend.
  19. Before: 262 After: 174 8 months post op!! 5 pounds to go :-)
  20. Personally I think most stalls early on are from too few calories. Sometimes thats all you can eat though. I have eaten 1200-1500 cals a day since 2.5 months post op and I am 5lbs from goal..... Pre-op I was eating 3500+ cals a day for years. Our bodies are freaked out when we eat a fraction of that!! Try not to get frustrated and just do the best you can... (dont got too low either!!) The weight will come off.
  21. I have very little to no saggy skin. I have lost 80+ pounds. I am almost 29. I have a few dimples on my stomach-- no "loose skin" and the dimples are improving and it is getting better every week. There is hope!
