  1. Absolutely! I'm 11 months out. That's exactly what I had for dinner. I had the entire thing and 5 carrots. You could probably have a few bites of one in a month or so!
  2. That would be "sliming" it happens to some of us when we eat too much, too fast, wrong consistency, etc. so it's kind of "normal" happened to me 6 times total. It's awful!
  3. I have been eating 1200 minimum calories a day since 2 months out and made goal at 8.5 months! 1200 calories a day is good if you are eating nutritious food. You are not a failure!
  4. I tried everything... I mean everything. Nothing helped. I still lost 1/3 volume of my hair. It started at 3.5 months out and continued until 7 months post op. I have about an inch of regrowth at this point. My MD says it is typical after major surgery to lose a lot of hair. It may not necessarily be from the diet. So just prepare for the worst and you will get through it. I looked normal the whole time and i still do. It will be OK!
  5. It does get better! I didn't feel good until 3 months out and now I have never felt better!!!!
  6. Did you have heparin or lovenox injections? That's probably the culprit
  7. not a bit. I drink 2 20oz sparkling waters a day and a diet coke too. I have a "sleeve of steel" however!
  8. I had my first drink at 3 months and average 3 beers per week! Perfect
  9. Before my surgery I went through a horrific breakup to a fiancé that I was going spend fbe rest of my life with. My advice to you if you DO want to rekindle the relationship is to pretend you are ok. Don't contact him for any reason. Let him think you are ok and have moved on. I mean zero contact, let him think you fell off the planet. He will get curious and possibly miss you. Then when he contacts you- then the ball is in your court you can decide what you want. Keep your self busy and do you. In the meantime focous in your new bod and the confidence might Attract much more desirable mates and you might not look back at the ex. I know from expirence!! Finally in love again after the 1 year heartbreak I suffered!!! It will get better. Hugs
  10. I eat got dogs and brats sans bun all the time! Started 1.5 Month mark
  11. I feel 100% normal and I enjoy food everyday!! I feel in control cause I cannot eat big portions-- I do however eat reasonable portions and what ever I want! I can eat a 6in sub from subway with just the bottom bread for example. or 1 small slice of pizza and a buffalo wing. Perfect, no pain, no nausea, no weight gain!
  12. it means not a lot of nutrients or other nutrition you need like protein. I started eating small salads a 2 months out with cucumber, tomato, cheese, and nuts.
  13. I tell anyone and everyone-- I am a talker for sure.... BUT I do respect that people don't want everyone knowing all their business. You can make it work whatever way you chose.
  14. did you get sick or have any pain? I would have surely slimed if I ate that at 6 weeks out..
  15. i cried almost everyday on the pre-op diet. It was hard!!!! but so worth it. you can do it!!
  16. Yes I still feel like that some days! And I am at goal. It comes and goes, and I sometimes I'm amazed that I'm wearing mediums.
  17. yes!!! and I made into the awesome out fit in no time and now it is too big lol!
  18. soooo common and normal. I usually satisfy my craving with small portions of the thing I am craving, as long as your sleeve is healed its ok! I made my way to goal doing that at 8.5 months out. In Maintenance ever since doing the same thing :-!
  19. it depends on your age and your starting stats. I have no loose skin, and I have dropped 95lbs. I have a few wrinkles on my abdomen-- not bad at all!!!
  20. I lost some hair, its scary at the time but no one notices but you!! look at my profile I look completely normal. it will be ok!!!!
