Sleeve In The Long Run....
my mom basically had this procedure 20+ years ago due to having stomach cancer. She had about 75% of her stomach removed. She was 180lbs before her cancer, and she has been 110 since. She is normal and cancer free! That is proof to me this is the way to go !!

I'm Being A Hypocrite, Aren't I?
I met a man on match.com 4 years ago (pre-op) and at first I wasn't attracted to him one bit physically, His personality was fantastic. So he charmed me into a date, and then another, and then another, And I fell so hard for him! We even were engaged. (I was 250lbs at the time) Since we have broken up because he didn't want kids and I do, (and I am with my dream man now who does want kids !! :-) ) My point is give him a chance!!! You might fall in love and be very happy!

Most Humiliating Fat Moment
I am a nurse, I work full time at a clinic and I have worked part time at a nursing home since I was 17, Older people have no sensors and/or they think you can't hear them comment as you walk away-- obviously other patients and staff hear these comments as well. here is a list of comments I have heard when I have been walking away from an elderly person. Sometimes I just giggle seriously. I have tough skin luckily, These are not people I love saying things to me-- that would be a different story. "look at the size of her rear!" "she's about as wide as she is tall!" "her arms are twice the size of your leg!" "these young girls let themselves get so fat!" "tell the fat blonde nurse I need my medication!" lol

The Honest Truth
look at my pics- and my face! I look healthy. When I tell people I used to weigh 262 they do not believe me! I think if you are getting all your protein and vitamins in you will look healthier because you absorb all your nutrition you eat unlike the bypass. I don't even have any hanging or saggy skin! :-)

it gets better! Hang in there!

Eating
It's important at first because your new tiny stomach is so swollen. Ever since 5 months out I can chew and swallow exactly I how I did pre op. The liquids rule is so you don't flush your food out if your stomach quickly. (also at first so there is room in your stomach at all) (I never stuck to that rule) naughty I know!

Will I Ever Be Able To Eat Again?!?!?
It gets better every day. It totally sucks for the first 1-2 months.... But it will be so worth it. Hang in there!
-
Carbs?

-
....worked So Hard...and Only 30 Oz Of Fluids...
Yes, sounds familiar! There is so much swelling at first. Just keep at it. It gets better everyday! Can't wait to hear about your progress!
