12 Day Clear Liquid Diet - Anyone Else On This?
you are on 12 days of clear liquids??? that seems odd..... there is no protien in clear liquids usually. Seems like a good way to make your body weak for surgery? Any one else have any thoughts? I would not been able to do clear liquids only for 12 days pre-op. Post op yes.....

I Cant Find Info On This; 2Nd Vsg Anyone?
Did he mean you would have another sleeve procedure or just add the DS? (Duodenal switch)

Why Lap-Band To Sleeve?
I personally think most banders got the band cause they didnt want the RNY. Then they found out the band is horrific but still don't want the RNY...... the sleeve is the answer!! I love mine!

No Outside Food Allowed
Tha'ts ridiculous! I would bring something with you and explain to the person hassling you about it that you are on a post-operative diet. If they still dont allow it, sneak it in next time! (I always do at the movies....)

Can I Rant For A Minute?
I also needed something solid in my life for the preop diet. I hated the carnation instant breakfast I was supposed to drink! I ate a lot of cottage cheese-- I even told my NP at the surgeons office and basically got her blessing except when I had to do clear liquids only the day before. Lets not fool ourselves. Restrictive diets of any kind are SUPER HARD, if they were not everyone would be thin.

Question: Why Is Caffeine Off Limits?
my doc says its ok in moderation like EVERYTHING else post op, including alcohol and such. I have a medium iced vanilla latte everyday, a diet coke everyday, and I have about 3 beers a week on average! Made goal in 8 months, easily maintain my weight, and I am happy and healthy, and not deprived.

Former Obese Ppl Judging Obese Negatively? Wtf...
I agree! I feel like a few certain people in my life that have lost a lot of weight (and a few on this site for that matter) have hopped on their high horses and make others feel bad. Even just for asking questions or making not so good food choices and confessing. It makes me feel mad/ hurt too, but all we can do is control our own actions and support others that are struggling.

Too Small
I am not concerned about getting to small witht he sleeve... I am more concerned with not keeping enough weight off... Unfortunately I think most of us should be more concerned about that! I have easily gained 3-5 pounds a few times and have had to be careful to lose those again!!!!

Ok Let The Hair Loss Begin
I lost some starting at 3.5 months out. It was traumatizing at the time. But I look normal and always did. It's just hard to see so much hair in the drain and brush. It will be ok! You will not go bald and if you lose hair it does grow back!
