I have UHC Choice Plus as well! However, the insurance isn’t requiring me to do the 6 months at all. The only requirement really is being morbidly obese or 50% greater than your ideal body weight. My paperwork gets submitted after my March 3rd appointment with the psych. I hope everything goes well for you!!

    How do you psychologically deal?

All i can add is the Head games are tough!, but you have a choice 1. Stay fat and unhealthy and die early missing out on your kids and the future or Plow thru it deal with the head games and just stay focused - I decided to get healthy and live vs be burnt and put in a Urn Young - so whatever mental issues came at me after my crash i just stayed focused on that goal of getting healthy!

I splurged this week on new underwear, the first since surgery. I was careful to use my measurements to buy them and brought them home and washed them, as I always do before wearing them. I took the panties out and immediately said to myself, no way my big a** will fit these, to my surprise they fit. I did and said the same for the first lacey bra I've had in decades. It fit too. I need to be kinder to myself and not allow my head to talk to me like this. An exciting day and a big victory that I can't share with anyone but my husband, he's thrilled BTW. I suspect it will take some time for the head to catch up with the body. Now if I'm in an accident and rushed to the ER I will be known as the granny in sexy undies, and not granny panties!

    Hunger wth?

I was very hungry in the first 2 weeks after surgery but at about week 4 when I was allowed to go back to the gym my hunger decreased about 90% and since then I have good days and some days that are so so!!!!!!! Overall, this has been a great process for me and I wake up each day with a fight in my eyes that tells me that I never want to go back to the days of overeating and having health issues due to eating whatever I want and whenever I want to.... It is a process and you will find what works for you in this process... So just stay the course and follow the instructions from your healthcare team.... Also, major key for me was you have to want this process to work and fight everyday to make it work for you... Good luck to you and keep us posted...

    Peanuts and crackers??

To the people saying dont put crap in your body. I'm well aware of that. My normal diet contains low carb anyways. Please dont be a know it all. I haven't eaten for 4 days and keep having to go into the hospital because I cant hold anything down. Dont speak on what you dont know because I'm willing to try anything just to get some food in my body at this point. I'm not weak. I dont have craving for junk. I'd have a salad if I could or a tomato or veggies but cant even eat those! So dont lecture me on what's good or bad for me because I know! I just asked a simple question. If you dont want to answer or give advice on an alternative then that's fine, but dont lecture me about nutrition. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
