So I should be use to it by now but I'm still failing at taking my Vitamins everyday and I'm almost two months out. Does anyone else struggle with this!?!? I even bought a pill container and I still fail to take them. My day starts at 4am so I usually feel nauseous taking them that early. Any suggestions???

I have a couple of daily silent alarm/reminders that go off through the day. I try to time them with my usual meals.

As to the Vitamins making you feel sick to your stomach try taking them with food. My Calcium pills don't bother me any but my multi can make me feel sick. I try to take those in the middle of eating lunch to help mask it. I've tried to take them right after eating and it doesn't work. I need food behind them to keep that ick feeling away.

I'm still pre-op, but I take daily Vitamins and have a pretty good system going. Basically, I figured out what time of day I'm most likely to take them, and where I would be at that time of day. I hate taking my multi in the morning, and usually forget to take my vitamins before bed, so I take them right after I get off work. I work from home and keep all my vitamins on my desk, so when I'm logging off work, that's my queue to take them.

I have a pill container for the week, and I downloaded an app called round and set a reminder for each pill. It has been a lifesaver.

First, I swear by Vitagene. It's expensive each month but so worth it.

I set reminders and then my roomie set a back up one because I suck so bad at remember even with an alarm.

"Hey Siri / Ok Google / Alexa"....

"Remind me at INSERT_TIME_HERE every day to take my vitamins"

- problem solved ;)

I have the pill container, too. It is right on the counter in the kitchen where I can't miss it. I take them all at once in the morning and they don't bother me at all but I realize that is not the same for everyone

I chose to make it a bigger deal and to take a lot of supplements because my diet is not always well rounded with fruits and vegetables. Also with the stress and byproducts of weight loss I want to facilitate flushing all the crap out of my body and support the organs working overtime.

In the AM I take the following:
Spirulina (superfood)
Turmeric (inflammation/ antioxidant)
Collagen (skin/hair/nails, improves Protein absorption)
Multi-vitamin (with all the minerals)
Glucosamine (amino acids to support muscle growth and keep lean body mass)
Vitamin D & E
Chlorophyll (antioxidant that binds to heavy metals when fat cells break down)
Magnesium

At night I take:
Collagen
Multi-vitamin
Clorella (superfood- algae)
& All my daily meds

(My Multi-Vitamin is a ½ dose each time to optimize absorption)

Sure I forget my meds once In a while based on life's curve balls, but it is rare. If I was only taking a Multivitamin, I am sure I would forget all the time.

I also use the app called Round to remind me about meds and supplements. It's great.

I put the bottles on the counter by the sink for the first few weeks. I make a Protein Shake and take the Vitamins before I leave in the morning. Now it has just become a habit, and they are in the cupboard above the sink.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
