The dreaded week 3 stall.

Recommended Posts

I didn't think it would happen to me...but yup. Fri, I jumped up 2 lbs, presumably due to my period...but it was just some spotting. Now 6 days later, the 2lbs gain is gone.....but I hope the weight loss kicks in strong after this!

Take a deep breath. It is a thing, because it IS A THING! I have a stall about every 3 weeks. Frustrates the heck out of me.

But eventually they break- Mine last 7-10 days. and then I move on like gang busters. Just stick to the plan and keep chugging Water as you can.

You are in good company. :)

Happened to me too, I just stopped looking at the scale every day because I know it will go down eventually.

Also--we have the same surgery date, cool!

I think these early stalls were the most difficult part for me, mentally. Hang in there, stay the course-- you will start losing again!! (Also, you will stall again, later. And it will be ok.)

I think the best advice I've ever read on here about stalls is to avoid the scale. I weighed at my 2 week appointment and stupidly again after that. Caused too much anxiety, so I put my scale away I'm a month now and haven't weighed since, and I can still see differences in pictures and people who haven't seen me see the difference too. Don't let the number define you, go off of your NSV's and how you feel:)

I am just emerging from the week 3 stall. Don't stress it's temporary! I take my measurements after I've been stalled awhile. They always go down during stalls. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
