I remember being pre-op and my favorite thing to do was look at progress photos and dream
I am 6 months, 10 days post op and I am down 128 pounds total. This isnt a very great pic since I have been sick, but i still took it because anything is better than my before!!

@@mrssoupmix sounds like I had the same pre op diet as you. I lost 15lbs in the two weeks. Dr said my liver was easy to work around

@@mrssoupmix you will be just fine. I'm up walking the halls by myself. Very little discomfort in surgical area now but that's it! Gas pains have subsided from walking, it's like did I really have major surgery.

mrssoupmix got a reaction from onedeterminedchick in Hey there September sleevers! Any one out there?
Anyone not have to do liquids? I have a pre-open diet, but it includes unlimited veggies and 3-4oz of lean meat/egg Protein. Between Protein shakes and big salads, I am finding it very tolerable. But strange to so many of you are talking about a liquid diet. I wonder why I don't have that restriction??

Today is my one year surgiversary. I've lost over 100 pounds and have settled in at about 215 for a while now.
There have been a lot of positive changes this past year:
    - I no longer take any diabetic meds after taking these meds for 15 years.
    - I no longer crave fast food and can't remember the last time I ate fast food.
    - I go to the gym almost daily and no longer huff and puff after cardio exercise.
    - I bought a kayak and have been paddle boarding.
    - I have a new girlfriend (maybe I should have listed this one first )
    - My dog is now at a healthy weight now that he gets longer walks.
The only negatives were related to higher costs for my medical deductible and for all of the new clothes that I have had to buy. Well worth it though.

My sleeve surgery is tomorrow. I am a little nervous as well as anxious to be rid of this pre op liquid diet hunger! Best of luck to everyone who is getting there's soon as well as to those who have already been sleeved!

I was sleeved today. YAYYYY! Surgery was excellent, recovery a little nausea gave me medicine for it haven't been nausea since. Gas pains in between breast and top of stomach just very annoying. Going walking soon to relieve it. So happy for my new chapter in life!
