Gained it All Back but New Year, New Fill, New Me!

Recommended Posts

So this is hopefully my last walk of shame. Since True Results went out of business, I now have to get my fills done by the surgeon who performed my operation. That's really a good news/bad news thing because now I have to take off a 1/2 day to get to the appointments on time, Houston is big and it takes forever to get from one side of town to the other - that's the bad news. The good news is that he makes me more accountable for my actions or lack there of. He was disappointed in me and said "so, we're right back where we started...and that's not good" and proceeded to put me on a very strict diet: only drinks with 0 calories, no food for Breakfast - only a Protein shake, lunch and dinner with no Snacks and nothing after 8:00pm, not even a carrot stick.

So, today my current starting weight is 214.5, my goal is 175-185 at the lowest. I've been as small as 137, but I looked sick. I feel sexy around 180 so that's what I'm going for. I'll keep you posted.

I've gained over half of my weight back too. I'm going to try to follow your doctors recommendations to try to get back on track. I've been eating around my band for too long now! I'm with you!

I lost 100 lbs first time around. Then slipped my band so bad it had to come out. Was going to go right back in and have it replaced but I wanted a year and gain all the weight back.

Since then I have only been back for 2 adjustments, I'm so scared of another slip. I was 385 now at 326 thru diet and exercise.

I can eat way too much and know I need an adjustment and have appointment next week. Hopefully I can relearn how to eat just enough and stop,,,,I know I'm not alone when I say it's hard to stop eating a big plate of food when you've been doing it most of your life....

Mind has a big part in weight loss, I am just now seeing how important that is.

Good luck all....

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
