well I am going to be just flat out honest. at that point I weighed like 4 times a day, lol. but eventually I got bored with that.

just keep following the program and the scale will move again.

now I weigh once a day, but only count it as official on Monday.

I weigh myself every day but only Mondays count.

Your body has to adjust to weight loss. It can be hard to accept emotionally, but your body will drop pounds, inches and recover.

Stall are an important and needed part of losing weight. The soon you learn to look at them that way, the better.

Stress makes it harder to lose weight, not easier.

For the first month I had my husband hide the scale and only give it to me on Monday mornings. He'd take it out when I was in the shower and then put it away again when I left for work. Seems extreme I know, but after week 1 when I was getting on the scale every time I passed it, I was going nuts. And I mean EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Like a super unhealthy number of times each day.

Once I made him hide the scale I got in the habit of weighing once a week (unless I have a Dr. appt) and I was okay with that. I also felt better about seeing my progress, because I felt like I was actually seeing progress. Still do it now... every Monday morning. Don't feel like I am losing my mind this way.

I weigh once or twice a day and only Mondays count for me too.

It can drive you nuts because your weight fluctuates so much and what you weigh this morning is not necessarily because of what you at for dinner last night.

food with a lot of sodium can show up on the scale a day or so later and unfortunately hang around for a couple of days.

If you are a woman, like me, I could easily put on 5-6lbs around that TOM :/

I am a scale junkie and it sucks to have that URGE to weigh.

I got stuck too about 2 weeks after surgery. I've been hanging on to the same weight for about a week now. Though my weight is the same my fat percentage has gone down. Also it's going to be that time of the month soon so that will make me rests in Water. I've been feeling 'hungry' and I think is because if that. I used to get real hungry and crave chocolate about a week before so I think it's all that.

I know the scale will move again. I've been able to fit in clothes I hadn't been able to fit in 3 years so I'm happy. Hang in there. Keep you nutrition on point and it will pass

I made my husband hide the scale! lol I found myself weighing myself every time I used the bathroom... I finally told my husband to put it somewhere I can't find it, so I could stop fretting over it! lol

I hope on the scale almost every morning shortly after I wake up.

It's no big deal. It's something that I look forward to.

It's pointless to weigh later in the day, for me, because the number will always read higher.

Do you know how much Protein you're getting? I think you might be eating too few calories and that may be the reason for the stall. Although - you've lost alot so your body is trying to get used to your new way of eating.

Probably 50g is a safe number to say without over shooting.

You need more than that. What is your Protein target? 50 grams seems extremely low.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
