I know Clear liquids can be boring. Look in the Hispanic food section for GOYA bouillon. They have Ham (Jamon) sort of like split pea or navy bean, Tomato cilantro and chicken with tomato. Helps change up the savory side.

My doctor is requiring 2 weeks of clear liquids. I'm only on day 3 (hate to complain) but I just feel so drained already. How am I supposed to get through two weeks!!!

I too am on my 3 day of 2 shakes and a meal. I feel drained in the evening. Hope it gets better.

Where I go they do not require the 2 weeks. Just the two days before surgery. They require the you lose some weight through the whole process which I have been doing little by little.

One of my liquid pre-op options I enjoyed was the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken Soup Protein powder. Don't forget about popsicles (sugar free, of course) and Jell-O and such. These were included in my pre-op liquids. The main reason for doing a liquid diet prior to surgery is to shrink your liver as much as possible to give the surgeon better access to your stomach; it's not so much about losing weight.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
