  1. Doing well Kimberly7490, am having some difficulty with blood pressure meds, as weight loss is making me fluctuate from day to day. Have started soft foods, have yet to have something going that I can't tolerate.
  2. I too fell under the stigma as always being called "Big MIke" and I'm not one of the tall gays. I was sleeved on May 6th and after one week out am already starting to realize that I will not miss that stigma attached to me.....my goal is 190 and when reached I plan on getting rid of my 900 pound road bike for something that is a lot lighter and quicker that the new me will enjoy. best of luck to you on your journey and dreams.

  4. I was also sleeved on Wednesday, am having a very easy time so far, am getting in all of my liquids and have got one Protein shake down, along with my Vitamins and my crushed meds (yuck). Stomach muscles are still very sore, and I think I sprained my right wrist getting out of bed yesterday (nurse was not a lot of help) because it is sore as hell. had a little gas one day post op but all in all I'm feeling pretty well. I have also made a lap on the treadmill and will try to get on it at least twice more today. Congrats on your success.

  8. Actually I was on a modified for two weeks being able to eat one meal a day and the rest liquid. Then full liquid for two weeks. So yes for me it was mandatory
  9. Premier Protein in Vanilla and strawberries and cream are also quite good. I pick mine up at Costco.
  10. Sounds good, I have another 8 days to go before surgery and am already getting tired of beef or chicken broth.

  13. I am feeling more focused every day. Went out with my brother and we ended up at Outback for lunch, I could have splurged big time, but ended up having the grilled chicken breast, steamed vegetable's and a Caesar salad. I am already asking myself "is it worth it" food questions, Weird......

  21. I am planning on joining the local YMCA and use the pool there
  22. May 6th, starting pre-op diet on Wednesday, have 5 different kind of shakes. I'm telling only 5 people about my surgery.
  23. Well I finally got my date of surgery for May 6th. My knees are killing me. I have been doing a lot of walking to start my weight loss before surgery, have any of you guys had knee problems prior to surgery and did they improve after weight loss ? what can I expect when the weight starts to come off and what can I do for exercise that will help with my weight loss, until hopefully my knees start to feel better.
  24. I am also currently scheduled for May the 6th. have completed all of the insurance required things, and met with the NUT yesterday, starting the 4 week plan tomorrow.
