Zero at surgery. 4.5 first fill. My band is 14cc. I later had another 3.0 and then a third one of either 0.25 or 0.5. Can't remember. I have another tomorrow. Honing in on my green zone.

Hi there, I didn't have any fill in my band at placement and my surgeon started with small fills at my one-month visit. Every surgeon has their own protocol -- some people have what are called primed bands (some saline in the band at surgery), some people don't ever get a fill (only a few of those), some people have Plication along with the band, some people last. A long time on a little fill and others need several.......in other words, we are all so different. Keep all your appointments, work with your surgeon, ask questions and tell us how you're doing! Best wishes.....

5 cc...I think its rare to have that much to start, though.

I started with 5.5cc at surgery, 1st fill .8cc, second fill .5cc, 3rd fill .4cc. I'm at 7.2cc and I feel good here.

I started off with an empty band. First fill of 5cc was about 6 weeks post op.

I had a 4cc fill during surgery. Then a 1cc fill 4 weeks later. Then I had to have an unfill of .6cc 4 days after my first fill. On my second fill, last week I had a .3cc fill with a total of 4.7cc in my 10cc band. I go back to doctor at the end of the month to see how I am doing. Until I reach "the green zone," I measure and count calories and walk 5-6 days a week. I'm feeling good. Good luck.

Zero at surgery. 3 cc's 6 weeks post-op. 10 weeks post-op, another cc added. At 14 weeks (in a couple more weeks) possibly another cc.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
