Hey all-

So I was banded March 12, 2009 and have lost 58 pounds so far. However the last two months I have not lost nor gained. I exercise a couple times a week and only eat 3 times a day about a cup each time! I'm not sure how to get out of this and start losing again! Anyone else plateau during their journey?! If so... how did you get out of it! I have 44 pounds I want to kick and am sooooo anxious to get rid of it!!

Thanks for your time!

Are you counting your calories? You could also try changing up your exercise routine...not sure if you do the same thing each time...And of course...what about getting a fill? I don't think typically I can eat a cup of food at a time..I usually eat abotu a 1/2 cup and I am fairly tight right now. Good luck!!

This a true plateau and they happen. If you've fallen into a rut with your food choices, try changing it up. If you consistently eat chicken, try fresh fish or seafood. If you always eat green Beans, try different vegetables. Just change stuff around. SOMETIMES (not every time) it can make your body adjust to the changes in what you're eating.

I was banded in February of 09. I lost 50lbs fairly quickly and stopped losing in July. I just went to my fill doc this last monday and literally had a breakdown. I told her I am so scared to fail at this too! So we had a long talk and she gave me a .5cc fill and told me a few other things to try. So I started an aerobics class ( I was scared to death to be the fat girl jumpin around, but it has been great) and I do my exercising at 5am. I know that NO one wants to get up that early but it jump starts my metabolism. The point of my story is that I have lost 7lbs in 5days. WOOT WOOT! So I agree try changing up your routines in one way or another. Best of luck to yoU!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
