Hi Marina,

We all feel your frustration, but again this is not a magic band. It took me 6 months to lose that much weight. Sounds to me like your doing good. But it also sound slike your in bandster hell right now. It will all calm down, please give yourself time to adjust. You will be just fine.

You have just got to be patient! I am 16 months out and am still not at my goal weight. I have done very, very well...but it takes time. Follow the rules, do your research, go in for your fills...it will all come in time.

I hear you! We have all been where you are. I was banded on 10/22 and lost for 2 weeks and then nothing. Now 5 weeks since being banded I am losing again. I can tell you that your body is changing, so you may not see the lbs lost on the scale but your body is evolving and shrinking .... I cant wear the clothes that I could wear a month ago.

Hang in there :tongue2:

Sorry you are suffering. Are you in counseling? It seems to me you have some emotional issues that need to be dealt with so that you will succeed and you can't do that part on your own.

I have to agree your in bandster hell, this to will pass. But on the other hand I really can't stand when I hear people that just got their band say it's not working and they want it out. I would hope you were well informed when you got your band and understood it is hard work the people on this forum that are or have lost the weight are not the ones sitting around just waiting for the band to work. They are working also. We all have our ups and downs, Like right now I swear I'm on the never ending platue but I will get past it. The band is not for those who want the magic skinny pill. It's for those that have come to realize they have to get this weight off and are willing to make life style changes. The band is just a tool, Only you are in control of what you do with it. I wish you the best and maybe you could use a mentour(sp?) There are some really kind people on LBT that are more then willing to give up some of their time and wisdom to help those that are struggling. Good luck, and I hope it gets better for you soon.

Those of you who are annoyed at the weight loss being slow need to realize a loss is still a loss. If you hadn't done this surgery you probably would have been gaining weight right about now.

Anyway this is a slow and gradual process. It's not supposed to be quick.. don't watch the biggest loser. We aren't working out 10 hours a day and having our meals cooked for us... we are normal human beings who decided to have pretty drastic surgery to HELP us loose weight and keep it off. Typically your supposed to take 2 - 3 years to loose all your excess weight.. so for me it would take less than 40 lbs a year to loose all mine.

Take a breath and just concentrate on changing your habits.. the rest will fall into place.

I guarantee you if you stick with this and do EVERYTHING the way you are suppose to that you will lose your weight.

Give it more time and give yourself time to adjust to the changes. Start exercising and planning your meals ahead of time. Do not snack in between meals. Drink all the Water you are suppose to. If you follow the rules the band will work for you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
