Dr. Van Wagner - Questions, questions... so many questions

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm in the process of pursuing lapband as well. I'm curious as to what pre-surgury diet Dr. Wagner does?

And are the pre-tests usually done all at once?

We were at another Dr. seminar last night and someone had mentioned that they were the only ones that did all the same day testing. But since my insurance won't cover the surgery and Dr. Wagner is a little less costly, we are looking into him.

Also... has anyone done the out-patient surgery?

I'm a little leary about that.

Hello - I was banded by Dr Wagner on 1/14/08.

D.r Wagner requires a 7 day clear sugar free liquid diet.

All of my pre-test were done in one day.

I highly recommend Dr. Wagner. His staff is excellent, and I would recommend St. Alexius, they were amazing there!

Goodluck!

I am also going to Dr. Wagner.

Him and his staff are absolutely amazing! St. Alexius staff as well. He had me do a 10 day liquid sugar free diet, I had all my pre-op testing in one day and his staff informed me of every step while dealing with the insurance.

Would recommend him to anyone!

What about his fee for $200---did anyone ever consdier using another practice?

I am going to Dr.Wagner tomorrow and the only thing I am hesitant about is paying the $200 fee they have that is not covered by the insurance.

I would like to add that I absolutely LOVE the care I am receiving from Dr.Wagner's office.

I am just wondering what made you/people decide to choose him for your surgery besides other places that do not have a patient fee up front.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
