Two months after surgery, I just got stuck, and slimed for the first time. Lord, that was DISGUSTING!!! :)

Ew.

No real point to this post other than to share my, uh, "milestone."

Sometimes food gets "stuck" if a piece is too large or you haven't chewed it well enough. It will eventually come back up, or go on down. Until it does you will have discomfort (from slightly uncomfortable to pain), and your salivary glands in your mouth will go into overtime, bigtime, there will be saliva filling your mouth and overflowing....thus "slime"

Yes indeed, the 'first slime' milestone - I remember it well! Mine was on salmon - and although I thought I had chewed it to bits, obviously I hadn't. It was a long time before I could eat salmon again - only because I kept remembering the slime! But, I got over it.

Learn from your experience!

Yeah, it is a little strange, but it sure beats the vile taste of actual vomit!! I'm usually able to tell when it's coming, but I did it once on the table in a restaurant. My husband was shocked and appalled. I couldn't help it. I started crying. We just covered it with napkins, left a HEALTHY tip and paid the bill and left. How humiliating.........

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
