hey everyone. I'm sure this has been posted before but cant seem to find a blog on it. i start my pre-op diet on the 6th of October. i would like to know what Protein (powders) shakes are good to buy. i know everyones taste buds are different but i don't want to wast my money on junk! i have to have two shakes a day with 500 cals. of dinner and Snacks if needed. the Protein Shakes ( or whatever i can mix it in) have to be 30 grams each then after surgery it goes to 3 90 gram shakes a day. any help would be great. my surgeons office says they like to use Body Fortress. Anyone try this brand is it pretty good?

thanks

Karen

Sorry so late chiming in, just joined the forum. I've been on pre-op since Sept. 15, 2009. I have found the Lean Body ready to go shakes very tasty and Protein Drinks go and very satisfying. They come in chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and banana. They provide 40g Protein, 0 sugar and loads of Vitamins. They are a little more expensive than others but I think they are worth it. I obtain my supply from GNC. Good luck on your pre-opp and banding. I scheduled for surgery tomorrow 10/1/2009.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
