Am I too tight?

Recommended Posts

I am not hungry. I am getting all protien in. I have to take almost an hour to eat dinner. The first few bites are down right painful, some times it feels like something is stuck but then i get up and walk around and then it seems ok, i can continuing eating.I have thrown up 2 times but I think it is because I ate too fast. I think it's ok but because I have never had a fill before I am unsure of what it should feel like. Should it take me so long to eat? Should it hurt? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was told by my Dr. to not eat after 20 minutes..taking an hour to eat defeats the purpose of filling the pouch, the pouch will start to empty before the hour is up...so your pouch is emptying as you are still eating, does that make sense?Smaller bites will help it to beless painful..get yourself a small fork to help you to take smaller bites, this theory really does work, it is what I do, I have a crab fork, I take small bites.

Steppi,

I think you and I had a fill about the same time. I had problems at first but I have to rethink my eating habits. I take really small bites and chew more than I did before the fill. If I wait too long to eat I notice I try to eat too fast or take a bite bigger than I should. I do this before I take time to think about what I am doing. I told my doc I have decided I am a slow learner. If you are PB then you are eating too fast or you may need an unfill. Remember being too tight will not result in a more rapid weight loss. Maybe someone with more experience will offer you a better answer. Try cutting your bites then cut them in half again. Hope this helps.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
