Who Wants Some Chips?

Oh you naughty little Bandsters! I am not talking about potato chips, corn chips, fried chips or chocolate chips!

Here's a new fun thread that we can all use. I'm looking for volunteers to create Virtual Chips that we can put in our signature line after we EARN THEM. I think Trish is good at creating all those cute computer diddies, so can those of you creative with the computer "create" some virtual chips and post some samples here for us to vote on?

In AA, you get a 30 day chip if you don't drink booze for 30 days. It's a little plastic chip for your keychain. You get another after 60 days, 90 days, 3 months, 6 months, a year, etc. You get the same chips in OA (Overeater's Anonymous) for abstinence. For example, my big problem right now is sugar and soda. I haven't had any for 3 days, so in another 27 days I'll have earned my 30 Day Chip.

WHO ELSE WANTS CHIPS?

Post your starting date, your abstinence and the number of days you have. If you stick to your plan for 30 days, you can add a chip to your signature. This is based on honesty.

Here are some abstinence suggestions:

Three meals a day, no Snacks.

No sugar.

Exercise 5 times a week (abstain from laziness)

No Carbs

No Booze

No Caffeine

I'll start:

Lisa, abstaining from sugar and soda, currently on Day 3.

I just found this thread, I thought it was talking about potato chips, which I'm not really into.

a few years ago, I gave up chocolate for Lent. I'm not Catholic, not even Christian, but I think lent is a good thing to do, so I do it. I gave up chocolate, and the deal was that I couldn't substitute candy or chips or anything else. If I was going to go have a candy bar, I couldn't substitute something else. In the place of chocolate I had nothing.

I gained 17 pounds that month.

The moral of the story? The Gods want me to have chocolate.

There is Sunkist orange pop sitting in my fridge (thanks to my dear husband) and I want to take a drink of it sooooooooo badly!!!

I'm doing ok with just trying to focus on other things though, so I should be ok.

Kelly, step away from the pop!!!! *Keeping image of band slipping in the back of my mind*

Well, sorry everyone but the stress of today overtook me and I had 1 tiny sip of that orange sunkist pop. I shouldn't have, but I did.

At least I didn't drink half a bottle like I would've done in the past. I am getting better anyway!

me too :) i shy to say that yesterday i drunk a coke (normal!) not even diet cause

i didn't have one on fridge.. i don't know what's goin on with me..

seems im not in good mood :D :D

Being honest sucks. I lost my "goodie" chip. I also lost my "eating in bed" chip. But I still have my "no soda" chip coming. One chip at a time (as I shove a Pringle in my mouth.)

I have a question. I of course am waiting on my preop appts. If it is so hard to remain compliant after the surgery, then what is the real advantage? Is it just as hard afterward as it was prior?
