Im home, surgery went well
all the soreness is normal. just work through the pain and stay up and moving. the larger incision is where the port is. it will be sore and pull for awhile but will eventually go away. i remember the inability to turn over in bed, etc. again, it will get better. the more you move, turn, cough, the faster you'll heal. put a pillow over your incisions and press, when you need to cough. you go girl!

It'll be o.k. I, too had post surgery rumbling and diarrhea, and thought o my gosh, will this last forever? It does get better. Hang in there.

Mad at my scale
I had lost 33 pounds before and after surgery. On 2/16 I had my first fill, 1 cc. I had only lost 2 pounds that day and my Dr. said it was because my band had loosened. Since that fill, I haven't lost a thing. I am walking a mile a day (all that I can do at this point). I feel practically no restriction. I'm trying to hold myself accountable with my food intake, but I know I eat more that 1/2 cup at each meal. I do not snack very often. Will I ever start losing again?:help:

Boot Camp Lbt Style
i'm so excited this was the support i needed. I went through th Christmas holidays pre banded, and was banded by new years. Awaiting my first fill 2/16. I could eat more, but hold myself back. I'm walking with a friend. i'm doing it!:clap2:

How do you get your powdered protein to dissolve?
I've read all the suggestions. I'll try some of them. My dietician said I only have 2 more weeks of protein shakes, but I absolutely abhor them.I have the WalMart chocolate and vanilla. I've never mixed anything in with them other than milk. I have left them off for 3 days now. Boost, instant breakfast, etc. have too many carbs. I don't go back to the dietician until 1/27. I know I need the protein. Don't want to buy anything more since I am now so close to being done witrh them, but I can see that there might be occasions in the future where I need them. Is peanut butter about the best to mix with chocolate?

Protein.. Suggestions needed
I, too had a hard time getting my protein, 3 "meals" and water all in. was banded 12/28. It gradually gets better. Just keep at it. Do breakfast, then after a couple of hours when you can drink, start the protein. Sip it. I alternated with a sip of h20. When the swelling goes down, you'll be able to take more in.
