Stomach gurgling in the middle of the night!

Recommended Posts

Last night I woke up and was amazed at the loud gurgling noises my stomach was making. It was so loud I swear my neighbours could have heard it and I live on 5 acres so they are quite a distance away!

Its definitely in the lower part of my stomach and doesn't really seem to be causing any problems.I don't have reflux or anything like that. I assume that its just because my stomach is empty and objecting to the fact.

Good job my husband is a heavy sleeper!

I know what you mean. Mine sounds like an orchestra sometimes. I sure hope it doesn't do this in the middle of church one week!

Dh is banded too and at night we both lie down in bed and the opera starts. We laugh and laugh at the noises that come from our stomachs.

Like you say, its lower, definitely intestinal air moving around, but not in a flatulent kinda way, lol. Its not like you need to fart or anything. Its just kind of there, and when you lie down, all the bubbles rise to the surface, lol.

It must be due to the smaller stomach opening, less air escapes, or something like that but it sure is NOISY.

I too gurgle a lot, but it's even worse when my allergies are bad. Taking an antihistimine and an expectorant from time to time helps with the "music".

Mine gurgles all the time. I was watching TV with my husband and he asked me if I needed to eat? Sunday I was at a matinee and you could here my stomach 3 seats away. I didn't know if I should laugh or be emabrassed. They passed me some trail mix. Next time I'll see a action movie to drown out my stomach.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
