Well it is 6 months since I had the op done and I am down just over 30kg almost 1/2 way to where I want to be. For all of you just starting out, you will not regret it one bit this is the best thing that I have ever done. I feel like I am now starting my life.

Good luck to all !!!!:blink::thumbup:

You have done so, so well! Congrats :thumbup:

I am just over 6 months out too and have lost just over 26kgs now, countless inches (at least 10 off both my waist and hips) and have gone from a size 24 to a size 18 (but even bought some size 16 clothes this weekend!).

Yay for us!

Hey Linny

Yes I feel fantastic. I went to Thialand a month ago and did not need the seat belt extention on the plane and that was a fantastic feeling. Also my hubby says he cannot believe the difference in me. I was climbing up and down stairs and getting into junkets in the middle of bangkok of which I would never have done in the past I feel fantastic and cannot wait to get another 30kg off.

Leah I agree Yay us I was a size 26 and struggling and am getting into a 20 or 18 now The difference if unbeleivble and this is the best thing I have ever done. My goal was to get into a size 18 that has now been revised to a 14 for now....

Yes, I'm 6months down the track now also and feel just wonderful. It was the best decision. Getting used to eating smaller amounts took a little while. I've lost 18kg and have gone from a 24 to an 18. I lose a little bit every week, even weeks when I have had too much ice cream.

Well.... I think you're all incredible and though, my mind hasn't caught up with my body and I still see me for how I was not what I am now... Hearing it from others is still and always will be inspirational.

Hi all out there, Does anyone else burp a lot in the night? I think I may be eating dinner too close to bedtime. Does anyone else get hungry at night and make the wrong choices? I'm terrible at night. I get into biscuits and ice cream. My husband keeps them in a separate fridge but I raid it.

I burp a lot in general. Though i've always been a bit of a windy sort of person.. I wasn't as bad as I am now. Which still isn't bad. I'm pretty sure wind was one of the things mentioned over a year ago before I had surgery...

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
