Ok, I realize this is probably a stupid question/concern, but here it is.

I am two weeks post op today. I had my stitch out Monday. Today, I am noticing that my port seems to be moving about.

I had to have my band defilled 2 days post op due to excessive swelling. Today, my port is not where they stuck the needle to defill me.

It is only moving around an area of about 3-5 inches, but it is definitely moving. At least that is my perception.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is this a problem?

Please let me know.

Thanx so much.

I am by no means an expert, but I would imagine that as the swelling in your stomach goes down you will find that your port does "move".

As I have lost weight, my port is in a slightly different postion than when I started.

I think you should call your surgeon's office about this.

My port definately moves around. For example when I am lying down it is under and slightly to my right of my port incision. But when I am standing it moves all the way up to just under my rib cage. At first I did not know what I was feeling when I was walking (with my hand, not actually moving around inside my abdomen). IF I put my hand over it It moves back and forth as I am walking. I just thought maybe it was some of the tubing that connects the band to the port because it was not where he went in for my fills. So I ran into my doc at the hospital one day and asked him about it. He felt on it and then told me to come into the office the next day. So I went in and when I was laying down he said that it was my port. But then he had me stand up and felt on it and sent me to have a CT scan just to be sure. And sure enough it is just my port. He said that it may have moved some but it also has to do with the way the muscles are when lying down versus standing up. He did mention that as I lose more weight I may want to have it moved because it may stick out when I am standing. But I will worry about that if it happens...:)

But you should see your doc just to be sure everything is OK

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
