hi everyone. I had my preop appt with my drs office and with the surgery center today. talking with the staff at both offices eased my mind a bit, but I am feeling scared again now that i am home  I think I am officially a worry wart. My banding takes place on friday and they told me today that I'm the first patient up in the O.R. sched for 6am.

Any last minute words of advice? Lol, I think I'm still looking for reassurance from those who've gone before me. Sorry  but it really does help me to talk about it.

Thanks!

hey I'm the same way, a worry wart. Haha, hmm I had my surgery July 31st everything went good, til around midnight when I got sick and they gave me a pain med which is what made me sicker, but then she gave me nausea med and I was good, I also had to be at the hospital at 6 but at 6:50 had to wait a while to get ready and all that was out by around 8 maybe it's day 3 for me feeling better every day, my band was filled a little don't be worried (: stay positive

I was also the first surgery of the day. I was actually more reassured about that because I figured my surgeon would be more awake and less tired then he would be if I was his 3rd surgery of the day. Relax, enjoy the preperation of your new happier and healthier life. BTW bring a pillow for the ride home, so you can hug it when going over bumps. Good luck, keep us posted.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
