It happens. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and most of all, forgive yourself and move on. I know when I dwell on stuff it just makes me want to eat more.

I hope you have a great day tomorrow!!!

You're not alone!! I am on vacation right now and guess what?! I have been eating all the wrong foods and just now - literally right now - I was sitting here at this laptop eating a huge bag of chips!!! I am panicking because I am headed home to see my parents and friends that I have not seen in 10 - yes 10 years so I am freaking out about seeing these people. I left home 25 years ago a skinny person, gained the weight and now that I have lost the weight again I am freaking out. I had nutritious food in the camper but I went straight to the chips!!! Talk about a guilt trip!! I've been sitting for hours as we've been driving so I am not burning calories or exersizing like I want to, so I am right back to bad behavior. I'm with you. Sorry for my ranting!! I guess I just needed to confess too....

That stupid head hunger hits me HARD around my time of the month. I would gnaw off my own fingers if they were covered in chocolate.

I believe that self-forgiveness is hard for those of us on the weight-loss journey. Balletgirl...you have reasons to be stressed...give yourself a break. You have made the journey and will be fine!!!

haha How'd you know? It's that time of the month lol I've been going after chocolate, candy and cheetos...yeah it's pathetic, however I did just go grocery shopping and got NO processed foods and some really healthy stuff, quite amazing considering I'm in college and I'm VERY slowly getting new habits...maybe this way they will stick though:P

Thank you!!! I needed that support! I did go back to eating healthy so I feel better! I even RAN on the beach and got my heart pumping the other day!! I could not have done that 9 months ago! Thanks for being there for me. Makes it easier to know I have support as I'm stressing about seeing family and friends. Take care!

It's funny because I was just ranting in an e mail to a fellow lap band buddy that I need to focus on the fact that I've come so far, and I'm letting this last week of not being so "good" really affect me.

For some reason this last week I was just making poor choices and eating too much, and of course, even with my good exercise, I am up a few pounds. So I'm scheduling my first fill because I realized that could be the reason I suddenly can eat more and not think about it.

We're all trying so hard and we can't be perfect every day (or in my case, every WEEK...). But I'm giving us all pats on the back for fighting the good fight and being supportive of each other! We can do this!

This is too odd. I've had almost one full week of poor choices that ended up with a 3 - 4 gain. I'm so down on myself and like you have said, it's making me want to eat more. I hadn't been on this site in about that long and it was reassureing to see others go through the same thing. This was the first thread I read and it helped. Thanks to all of you who have posted to help each other, you are helping more people than you know.

When I really get down on myself for blowing it, I get an old pair of jeans that are to big and remember how far I have come, then try on the skinny jeans that I can't quite button and feel better and sometimes it can really get me going in the right direction.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
