Will I Go COMPLETELY Bald?!

Recommended Posts

I started loosing hair at 2-3 months after my surgery. It lasted for 2 months, and was mostly in the front part of my head (bangs). It has really slowed down alot now, and is starting to grow back. It's not just caused by the lack of Protein, and ketosis, but also due to the anesthesia. There is nothing that can be done to avoid it, however keeping ur Protein intake up, and taking ur Vitamins helps. I also found that the Shampoo called Nioxin helped salvage the hair that was still there, this shampoo although expensive, did help, even helped slow down my husband's balding. It all grows back. I also found that my hair was alot greasier. Talk to your hairdresser, he can help with a good haircut to lighten the load.

it's all worth it! The hair comes back but the pounds don't!

I was banded just three days ago so I'm not experiencing this yet. Years ago when I delivered my kids I went thru that, my hairdresser would cut off a few inches and I used to take cod liver oil pills. Yuck but trust me they worked. Same thing happened to my daughter and we did the same and it also worked. Try them you never know.

I am willing to try anything at this point. The Nioxin didn't help me. Funny thing is, my hair has gotten a lot longer, but it is still falling out. I am going to get it cut a little to see if that helps.

Cod liver oil pills...are they small? Because we really can't take pills. My doctor told me to start Omega 3 but said I should pierce them. Is that what you do with the cod liver oil pills?

Dubee the ones I buy are small gel caps. I would only take one at a time and wait inbetween as they can get stuck in your stomach.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
