april 24 2009 banded 2 month

Recommended Posts

Been banded for 2 months. How is everyone doing?

I have had one fill (8.4 cc total )and lost a total of 20# since surg date.

Learning to eat! Smaller bites and chewing enough

Stuck= chicken, turkey

PBx1 (liquids for 48 hours)

second guessing decision but I did lose 20#

Think I have restriction,

YOU?????

Banded on 4/21 and I have had 2 fills and I don't think I'm feeling restriction I'm eating a lot less than pre-op but still way more than 1 cup of food. I have yet to slime or pb, probably because I'm really afraid of it so I try to stop as soon as I feel full or hiccups.

I'm down about 2 lbs this week bringing my total weight loss to 48 lbs. I'm real happy with that number and I'm feeling much healthier however if I only made better food choices I think I could be down a lot more. Oh well I try to keep reminding myself this is a way of life and not a diet to race to the finish line. I just want to be able to wear a cute outfit before summer is over!

Banded April 17, 2009, not eating the way I'm supposed to, but not eating any where near what I'm used too! I don't feel any restrictions, two fills with a total of 6cc in a 11cc band. Never had PB's or anything negative. Scared to death so I won't over eat. Very slow process, but learning so much about me and my eating habits :0 I did not at all know I had.

Highest - 230lbs April 2009

Current - 203lbs June 29,2009

Goal - 170lbs @ 1 year and 140 @ 3 yr

Surgery Date April 17, 2009

1st Fill June 11, 2009 (4cc)

2nd Fill June 25,2009 (2cc)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
