Recommended Posts

How do I get my insurance to Pay. I have United Health Insurance. I went to a meetting with Dr. Martin in Hot Springs. That was a Joke. All there was was bunch of old ladies that wanted to find out if their medicare paid for the surgery. After I made my appointment Dr. Martin cancelled me becuase after I took the day off work saying she needed to get my insurance paper work together. After I faxed her everything the she needed she canclled my second appointment and said if I want to talk to her it will cost me $200 what is that?

I have tricare, so I am not knowledgeable with yours. But, it seems to me that you may want to look for another surgeon. If they show you respect when you start the process, you sure aren't going to get any post-op. Ask your primary care doc to recommend a surgeon, ask around or call your ins co.

Good luck

respect I never talked to her. I was going to the appointment with my mother all the appointments were made and done though my mom. This was all over a two week time frame. Just felt mislead and not like she didn't know what she was doing.

Paula- I work in surgery in Hot Springs, I'd look in the Little Rock area. I had mine done by Dr. Luttrell and have nothing but good things to say about the people in his office. Call your insurance company first to find out if the procedure is covered - they will know!! Ask if they pay for anything related to Bariatric Surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
