Does your bra cause more restriction?

Recommended Posts

Ok, has anyone else noticed this or am I just weird? I've noticed when I have a tighter bra on (around, not cup size) I feel more restriction when I eat. Not that it's a bad thing, just curious if anybody else felt the same thing.

I know, I don't get it! Maybe it's all in my head but when I pull the band away from my body I notice a difference!!

Yes I am the same. When I get food stuck the first thing I do is undo my bra and its a huge relief. Why is that anyway?

My port sits right on my bra line.

Hmmmmm - maybe pressure on the port and tubing (which runs fairly superficially for an inch or two in some people - I can feel my tubing - till it disappears deeper) squeezes saline into the baloon round the band and makes it tighter THAT way? Because some of the saline does remain in the tubing rather than the band.

It doesn't matter what bra I wear it always sits on my port. It is always more comfortable if I can undo my bra when I eat a meal.

Interesting! My port only sits about 2 inches above my belly button so I don't think it hits the port directly but the squished tubing idea is a thought. At least I know I'm not alone!, THANKS! HEHE

No, you aren't crazy. I notice the same thing at times. I'm 13 months post op and at goal, but do notice it from time to time. Also after I get a fill it is noticable.

This is too funny...I'm only a little over a week post op and I get very excited to take my bra off at night because it's sort of irritating my incisions...sounds like I may always look forward to taking it off though!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
