Congradulations on what you have lost so far. You are doing great. I would suggest that you not worry about what everyone else is doing or have done. Everyoine is differant. My wife and I were banded a week a part and Iam down more than here. However she has had problems and just had her galbladder out So she is hoping that she can get back on track. SOmetimnes it is hard to find the right spot.If you have any questions just ask or e-mail me.

I totally understand being too restricted or too loose. I have the same problem. I also know it can be very frustrating. Maybe you should focus on goals other than weight like - fitting into a smaller size - huh, maybe: I;m trying to focus now on minigoals like only 5lbs at a time . Maybe this will motivate me rather than looking at the lbs to lose to get to goal. I'm just focusing on that larger goal of 30lbs and nothing is happening. Hang in there. We understand.

I totally agree. Everyone is different. I, like the original poster, am approaching 3 years of banding. My first year, I lost great. Then, life threw me some curve balls and I basically didn't lose anything the 2nd year, actually GAINED a little.

Now, I'm back on track and losing again.

You need to explain this to your doc, let him know how the fills have been going. Sometimes it just takes a DROP to make you just right. If you notice by my stats, I have had to have 14 fills and 3 unfills to get me to the sweet spot. Its very frustrating, it took me until the end of last year (almost 2 years) to get there. So I totally understand where your coming from.

The biggest suggestion I can give to ANYONE who is having problem getting to the sweet spot is DON'T GIVE UP. Keep tweaking it, it just takes some time, and patience!

Best wishes to you and keep posting, you will get a lot of support here.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
