I was banded 3 weeks ago....I am finally back on my stomach. Your body will adjust trust me. When you know you might damage the surgical area, you won't even want to sleep on your stomach. LOL

I usually sleep on my stomach or left side (where the port is) day of surgery I was sleeping on my left side and a couple days after surgery I was sleeping on my stomach. Every once in a while I feel pressure but I just make a slight movement and all is good.

I am a stomach sleeper, too. After about a week, I felt comfortable enough to sleep on my stomach. I did notice blood on my pajama shirt for several days. The doctor said this was normal. Now, three months after surgery, I can feel my port when I lay on my stomach. It's a strange sensation but doesn't hurt.

I was sleeping in our recliner for the first week after surgery because I was so sore but eventually the pain went away and I can now sleep however I want and it's fine.

I am a side/stomach sleeper and was back on my stomach about a week after surgery. I'm three weeks out and I have no pain whatsoever in any sleeping position. I can feel the port and have slight pain when I stand up or bend over but that's about it.

Hello - I had my surgery 6 weeks ago and I'm still having problems lying on my side or on my stomach. Any pressure at all on my port area hurts me!

I sleep all over the place, but since being banded (November) I wake up finding myself on my stomach, although I have started off on my right side, then knowingly turned to my left. Had to sleep on my back for the first 4-5 days and then ease back to sleeping on my sides.

I just started being able to sleep on my port side and on my stomach a few days ago and I was banded on april 22nd. Its so great to be able to sleep any way i want to now - that was probably the hardest adjustment for me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
