5 weeks post-op too soon for 1st fill?

Recommended Posts

I need to know if any of you had your first fill less than 6 weeks after surgery. I scheduled my 1st fill 5 weeks and 3 days post-op thinking it was 6 weeks 3 days. I even got plane reservations and don't know if I can change them now. My Dr. said 1st fill 6-8 weeks post-op. Any input would be appreciated.

I am having mine done just under 6 wks and my doc's nurse sd if you have the bigger band then you can even go 5 wks. You should be fine it is only 4 days difference.

My doc had said 6 weeks, but he was out of the office during my 6th week, so it was either week 5 or 7 .. I opted for 5 (cause I'm impatient lol).

I had mine the day before my 6 th week I think it was. I think you'll be fine- but you may want to call & explain everything to your Doc.

UH..........hmmmmm.....I just checked, and I had my first fill 2 weeks after surgery. It was only .5cc. I then had another fill of 1.0cc 4 weeks after surgery.

I did just fine, and I think you will too

My doctor also said 6 weeks, which will be very soon for me, but I really don't feel the need for a fill yet.

If you've already booked passage that's non-refundable I'd stick with it. I'm sure the doctor won't make a big deal out of a few days if you really need a fill.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
