Can not excersise...??

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone. So, I have this problem. From being overweight all my life I have three disks in my lower back that are degenerating. Well, due to this it causes back pain from time to time. Here is my problem, every time I excercise I end up on bed rest for 4-5 days because my back is flared up in pain. It is so frustrating because I want to be able to excercise, especially after my surgery. Any ideas or anyone with similar problem? I guess worse case scenario I will need to wait until I get some of the weight off and hope then it won't cause so much pain after excersise. It's a lose lose situation:confused:

Have you tried Water aerobics?

I agree with Mac, Water aerobics will be the best. Even if you're not ready for group exercise, just walking in the water or using a float and kicking your feet gently will help, and the water takes the pressure off your back.

Also, talk to your doctor about physical therapy for your back. That would be supervised, and thetherapist could make sure you're doing the moves correctly so you don't further injure yourself. Good luck.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
